There are those who choose to base their creed on a literal interpretation of the Bible.
At times some fundamentalists latch onto a certain part of the Bible, such as the New Testament, the Book of Revelation, or the writings of St. Paul while neglecting or minimizing the rest of Holy Scripture. I don't think they realize that they are doing this.
I suppose that they feel free from error if they keep their belief system simple and Bible based.
The only problem is that it is easy to misinterpret the Bible and a belief system that is strictly Bible-based is too easy to attack by a non-believer who is also familiar with holy scripture.
Even the devil can quote Scripture.

I'm an atheist, but I respect fundamentalists over most "token" christians.
If you believe in God & Jesus and that you'll go to hell if you don't act correctly, I would think that you would take the bible very, very seriously. At least fundamentalists have the courage of their convictions enough to live according to their beliefs.

you are strong as long as you are strongly fastened with roots.
This is fundamentalism. Believing in islam which was revealed to Muhammad and all other prophets before him (peacebe upon them all), is fundamentalism.
If one losses ones foundation will drop down immediately.
