Hi again sista
All of the answers and all of the questions can teach us something if we are open to what they are saying to us.
Even the smart a-- questions tell us something about the person that makes the comment. The trick is, not falling into the trap they are caught in with them. Many of the nasty questions and answers are the products of the fears of the person making them. Their responses are a product of this fear and are intended to be an attack on what it is that they perceive to be the source of this fear. If you also perceive it as being an attack on you, or on some belief that you hold dear you are drawn into the fearful thought pattern with them.
This is not good, because not only has your peace of mind been disturbed, but you are also more likely to respond to them from a basis of fear. This prevents you from being able to help them see their way out of the fearful idea that has them in the state that they are in.
If anything, this is good practice for us. It tests our ability to hear these types of comments and keep a clear mind. Only a clear mind will allow us to retain our peace of mind and respond in a loving, thoughtful, understanding, helpful manner as brother Jesus would want us to do. This is what we are here for, not to join in on the chaos or judged our brothers, only to be loving and helpful when we can be.
Love and blessings

In my opinion the intelligent questions are still out there. People do not take Spirituality or religion as serious as they should. The preachers had to study under scholars at one time to get a license to preach. Some preachers will only allow certain questions be answered because of fear they will lose their congregation because they aren't ready for what the preachers know. I studied with scholars too. For three years. The more ignorant people are about the Bible or spiritual/religious matters the more I am finding that these type of people or really not interested any more then the man in the moon per say. Get my meaning. If you have a question I will sincerely help you find your answer. We will look together and I will help you any way I can. Don't be afraid to ask an intelligent question either sometimes other piers will ridicule for this too. Don't get discouraged.

That would be an oxymoron. The most intelligent thing would be not to believe in something that can not be proven. Most people continue to believe out of fear. I am always seeing people answer question about religion saying, well I don't want to chance going to hell. If you are a fearful person, then I guess you will always be stuck in the never ending religion loop, like a scratched record that keeps playing back the same verse.

Good questions come up from time to time. But also it depends on the persons interpretation. If a person posted a question that questions religion to you it may be not an intelligent question to someone else it is.

It seems to go in spurts. Perhaps it's a reflection of the spiritual battle that's going on around us. Tell ya what? I'll ask a question that hopefully you will consider intelligent and you can join me in prayer that the tide will turn OK? :o)

My take on it is this: Most of the intelligent people get tired of asking genuine questions, only to be told by some that if they are people of faith they are stupid, ignorant, brainwashed, or on the other hand, going to hell, evil, un-american, devil worshippers. Unfortunately, the few people who are truly interested in learning from one another's perspectives lose patience with all the intolerance and name calling. I've found I really like the Home and Garden section, philosophy is good too...

There are many who have gotten on the "if your a christian your un-intelligent kick".I like the Proverb 14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way:but the folly of fools is deceit.
Pray and remember most of the things being said are from those trying to irritate you,or I should say us,as their making those remarks to all of us who love God.

Too many smart-aleckys bashing on Christians. Seriously, if all you're gonna do is make fun of people in "religion and spirituality," why don't you just pipe down and answer questions elsewhere??
