He was Jewish. And, he probably was dark complected - nothing at all like the blond-haired, blue-eyed Jesus shown in pictures. Why? Because that is the natural skin tone of the people who lived in that area due to the vast amount of time they spent out in the sun. The average height was about 5'4" tall, so he wasn't tall. His followers called him "rabbi" or "teacher" and not "savior." He was teaching a reformed brand of Judaism, not something called Christianity and were he alive today, he would probably disavow all those who worship him because he even said he was not to be worshipped, but to worship his father, God.

Jesus was born in the Mediterranean Area where the people were dark or olive skinned. So he was more a black man than a white man. He was turned into a white man in the King James Bible (an English King), the latest revision, and the most widely accepted--because God, the apostles etc. are all depicted as whites. This was purely an European idea.
After Rome fell the barbarians and the Moslems took over the area and drove out the Jews. Most of them went to Europe where they took on the whiter skin of Europeans, and some intermarried with whites diluting their darker skin.
To visualize the proper skin of Jesus look at the typical Arabs of the region. They vary from olive to dark skin. This is due to natural selection and the Israelis are not immune to it. If the casting for the movie ‘The 10 Commandments” had been color true then Charlton Heston would have had a much darker skin, maybe even Sidney Poitier should have been cast in the role. I think that that movie, more than any other influence, has recast the Jews as whites.

As to what race, Human Race. Please note that there is no biological or scientific basis for categorising people into races!
As to colour, sorry I don't know cos I wasn't there when He walked the earth 2,000 years ago. But then again, there is only one colour pigment called Melanin which we all have. How much of this pigment you have determine the shade of the pigment you possess. If you have lots of Melanin, then you are darkskinned. So it's jus different shades of the colour.
Now, since Jesus was a Jew and thus of Middle-East stock, He would probably have the make up of a typical Middle-Eastern man. Probably middle-dark brown skin, like the majority of the world's population is.
Lastly, you cannot demand the facts for this answer simply because no one who answers you was there when Jesus walked the earth. So you will simply have to settle for most plausible answers. That's the way it is.

Assuming that the Bible is accurate, then he was a Semite. A race of people that lived in the north African and middle eastern regions of the world. Typically they had dark skin and frizzy hair.

I have a souvinir photograph of Jesus from when he went to Six Flags Great America.
He has a mid eastern look, and a very unflattering birthmark on his neck.

nicely you frequently get a mixture, your toddler will in all probability have Latino advantageous properties with slightly darker complexion. He/she ought to be somewhat darkish skinned at beginning yet this would lighten as he/she grows up.
