Although I am not sure about sending them into the Armed forces, but since this govt makes it close to impossible to get residency, perhaps, that would appease the anti illegal movement....
I mean what would they say next, those damn Mexicans how dare they serve in our armed forces....

American Citizenship Is Not For Sale
Not For Any Price
Or Any Service
Especially Not MILITARY SERVICE
You DO NOT ARM And Militarily Train Someone
Who Has No LOYALTY Or ALLEGIENCE To Your Nation
You Want To Be A Citizen??
Show Your Loyalty And Determination By
Entering This Nation In A LEGAL And Orderly Fashion
Like The MILLIONS Of Immigrants Did Before You
Then You Can Serve In Our Military

My son is completing his four (4) year tour of duty in Iraq right now, and he's been an American, a U.S. Citizen, since he was born 22 years and 1 month and 23 days ago. So what's the big thing about a 5 year stint in the Armed Services of the U.S. as a qualifier for citizenship? Not good. Try having them obey our laws with respect to immigration, and then our laws in every other respect when they get sworn in. Or just leave 'em over on the other side of the Rio Grande. God Bless you.

Five years is a jail sentence.
But for those of age and willing, a two year stint or what ever the regular draft calls for, isn't a bad idea to gain legal residency. From there they could apply for regular citizenship.
As for the illegals that are already here,..their here, and most if not all work and work hard. They do hard jobs for basic pay that in the long run affords us luxuries we might not otherwise afford.
Like our lawn service's and landscapers.
Realize this. Any service you may have had or am planning to have done that has illegal laborers and your not gaining a price advantage it's your contractor who gains the benefit, not the illegal.
While your realizing that remember this,...this country was built by immigrants.

Back in the sixties, I was stationed with a US solder from Hong Kong and one from Canada. They told me that after they completed their 4 years, they would receive America Citizenships.
This was during Vietnam war, we were all young and wanted to fight, they did too. We all felt that we were doing the right thing. The two solders wanted to join the US Marines because they believe they were doing the right thing (stop communism), and they were willing to die.
Do you think an illegal (from any country) forced to be in the military is willing to die for a cause that they do not believe in. And why would they, they are here to send money home to support their family, how will they do that if they are dead.
I know you made a typo when you wrote 'all the Mexicans',
you meant 'illegal Mexicans'
I served with a lot of Mexican American.

Contrary to what many people in the US might think Mexican citizens are already Americans, as all persons who happen to reside on either of the American continents. As to the rest of your question it might not be a bad idea. Oh by the way have you served your five years yet? And just an aside the people who reside in the US and arrorantly consider themselves the only true Americans, the native people of cental and south america were here at least 10,000 years before europeans.

I Don't Think That Is A Very Good Idea Because The Mexicans Are Taking Over Our Country. They Allready took Over My Favorite Radio Station 945 The Beat. They Turned Into A Dumb Mexican Station With Cheesy Music. :(

That is such a ... how to say it nicely? silly question. First, most mexicans would rather stay in Mexico, even the ones that go to the US (not America you ignorant fools that is the name given to a CONTINENT by an italian explorer -Americo Vespucio- but you surely wouldn't know-), because believe it or not they leave out of necesity, not for the joy of it, they would stay if they could. Second, JOIN THE MILITARY?, why such an awfull thing, so that they get there hands dirty in wars that have no real justification but the immoral "protection of US interests", even if it is against the lawfull interests of other nations and peoples???.... sorry but that is just plain scary, I guess if you got that many soldiers your politicians might feel compeled to fight more inhuman wars.
Third, at the cost of your wars, it would be cheaper to eradicate all poverty in not only Mexico, but all of the continent (the one called AMERICA), and that would permanently eliminate the need to emigrate to the US, get you loved by the world, make you really proud, and get so many gratefull costumers for US made goods that your economy would skyrocket. ETCETERA.
THINK!!!!!!

No, I think they need to take an oath, & learn to speak fluent English, & not fornicate with dogs or anyone's pet. Then we should give them an interest free loan of $200,000 that they don't have to repay for 10 years like the other foreigners get to start up their own business like gas stations, & party stores. Yeah, right. Then let's open up the Canadian border, & the Mexican border so we are all one big happy country, like China. Where did you come from?
