My boyfriend and I went for a week and ended up spending $1500, but we drank quite a bit. If you don't plan to drink a whole lot and it's just you, I would say you could comfortably get by on about $600-700.

I took a thousand dollars on a week long cruise to the Caribbean you might need to have that much just in case of any emergency.

take at least $1000, b/c when you get it transferred into Euros or pounds, it actually cuts it in half sometimes over half, depending on the rate. i went to england and scotland for 10 days and only brought just over 300 bucks and so i only had about 160pounds to spend, so i'd bring lots more!!!!
