If you don't have discipline don't waste your time. You have to train six days a week, eat good, and get good sleep. If you can't make that sacrifice then just be a spectator.

Then after you've trained your body you'll know if you have talent. I've boxed with guys bigger, stronger, faster, and even more experienced then me and have come out ahead. There is an it factor that you either have or you don't. Sorry I don't know what your goals are, But if you just want to have fun be careful.

There are so many training techniques that I don't feel like typing, So here is the best site for training I have ever seen. He can answered your questions better than I can.

Improve your stamina. Work on your cardio exercises. This in itself will be the best thing for you to prepare yourself. Make sure you run every day so fourth. Make a full routine. I also suggest you join a team. That way you will have trainer/coach's direction. Foot work is a skill of knowledge and coordination for most people. You most likely need to learn this in training. And believe me it takes time and Patience. Footwork is very important. It needs to become second nature. You cant be thinking about it in a bout. As far as strength in you jabs/punches the stamina is you're first step. Getting tired will make you much weaker faster. Good luck. Keep it up.

noticed several people had been looking for an amateur boxing team or program in there area. I thought I would post ours here in Arkansas just in case someone was looking here. We are non-profit. It wont cost you a thing. Glad to help http://dreamteamlive.tripod.com/...... or email dreamteamboxing@yahoo.com

Your best bet is to spar a lot. No running or shadow boxing can prepare you for what is gonna happen when u step into the ring. Boxing is an unpredictable sport and u need to actually be in the ring fighting someone to get a feel for what might happen. As far as stamina, they used to say to train for a 15 rd fight u need to spar for 1500 rounds. Get in the ring (with headgear) and pound it out! To work on your punches hit the heavy bag. Watch tapes of old boxing matches. See how each punch is thrown. As a matter of fact, watch some old Evander Holyfield fights. Holyfield was a precision puncher. Every punch he threw was how it was meant to look and land. That would give u an idea of how to throw the punches. Practice on the bag to see how it feels to hit something and get in the ring (once again, with headgear) and once u get used to giving and taking a pounding u will feel more comfortable when the real fights come. Running will help get your wind in the ring. Start out with a mile and gradually build your way up to 5 miles. Dont start out with too much or you'll burn yourself out and get frustrated.

take a strip of tape and stick it straight on a hrd ground. make it about 20 feet long. get in your boxing posision and do the foot movement where you are bouncing from foot to foot dont ever loose that bounce in a match that keeps you ready to move. but anyways you bounce like that back and forth goin down the line. then do it backwards back to where you started. when you get used to that add, everytime you bounce forward you jab. do two jabs then a right. when you do your right bring it straight forward twisting your back leg to put more force this will help foot work. and for your getting tired soo easily you just have to keep at it and dont give up push yourself and you will be fine.

As u r askin for boxing tips it seems that u r really interested in the sport so i can give u a schedule that can help u increase ur stamina with more speed and better punches. So u need to start ur schedule with a jog that should be atleast 4 km it should increase gradually u can start with 1km but before u start jogging it is compulsory to do a light warm up so that u dont pull ur muscules and when u r about to finish ur jog (it should be a faster jog) say 200m left then u must sprint that distance this will expand ur lungs as u will b breathing at a higher rate after u finish ur jogging then start with streaching exercise and in between keep taking sips of water dont drink a lot of water after u finish streaching exercise then u can start with skipping rope time ur self for 3mins of skipping with 1min of rest for 4 rounds and when there r 20 secs to finish ur rounds then start skipping at a faster rate when u r skipping u can practice ur footwork when u finish 4 rounds of skipping then u can do 4 rounds(3 mins round with 1 min rest with the last 20 secs shooting only the straight left and right punches guarding ur face and abdomen) of shadow boxing and i would advice u to do it in front of a mirrior in this way u will b able to see ur posture, guard, movement and punches and accordingly u will start moving with ur footwork and when u r doing shadow boxing u must take care that when u r punching then whole body should cordinate with it this will put more power in ur punches as for example when u are hitting straight right punch then see to it that u r on the toe of ur right foot with ur left foot firm on the ground or if u r going with a left hook see to it that ur right foot is firm and ur left foot is raised and rotates along with the left hook. After u finish 4 rounds of shadow then do stomach exercise in this ways u will have a strong abdomen and it will increase ur stamina(it is done after all the exercise and training for warming down) if u go for training or join a club that will help u a lot as u will b inspired when u see other and u will get partner for sparring which is very important because if u know all the techniques but u r not used to taking punches on the face then that can be a draw back because one hard punch in the ring can drop u on the canvas..........thats all buddy if u need more information u can contact me any time..........take care.............and Best of luck...............bye......
