the greatest matchup ever would be ali vs marciano..ali would take it tho, he just had too much athletic prowess and smarts and would have found a way to beat the bomber

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Rocky Marciano had a lot of heart, a killer punch in either hand, and great stamina, but if you really watch his fights, he had no skill whatsoever. He would not beat Ali because Ali would've known to stay away and he would've decisioned him easily while making his face look like hamburger. Tyson in his prime (while i loathe the man) was too fast, too big, and too strong for Rocky. You must remember that Marciano only weighted 190 in his prime. Heavyweights at that time were much smaller. One more point....Marciano's success was very much a result of skilled management. He had 7 title defenses and most if not all of them were against fighters well past their prime. Joe Louis was coming out of a second retirement with no warm up fights. Ezzard Charles was way too small. Jersey Joe Walcott beat the snot out of Rocky up until the moment that Rocky caught him with (i must admit) what was the most beautiful right hand in the history of the sport. Luck won him the title (because of that right hand) and good management kept the title and what is now the legend of Rocky Marciano. I will say that he was fearless. He had more heart than most fighters i have ever seen. But in today's world (well, maybe not today because the heavyweight division is crap) he would not even be a top 20 heavyweight.

The Rock was great I grew up reading Rocky stories written by Don Riley in the St. Paul paper, he loved Marciano. But my opinion is he would have had trouble with quite a few of the other champs. Jack Johnson would have knocked him out. Dempsey or Frazier vs. Rocky might have been a double K.O. Joe Louis in his prime would have taken him in a TKO, and Ali was the greatest.

marciano was a brawler, not a boxer, walcott, had him beaten by points until round 13 of their title fight.Marciano, had "hand picked opponents by his manager, Al Weill. Ezzard Charles was close to 36 when Rocky beat him and Archie Moore was way over the hill. All of these guys were great fighters.

You are on drugs or a lair because every time I have ever seen Dundee he has said no such thing. Please put in your details where he said this and furnish the evidence.

Ali would have decisioned Rocco and out thought him. Ali had the greatest skills and will/heart of any heavy wt. He also had one of the greatest chins in the history of boxing.

You are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong it is.
You are probably a Republican/conservative and don't like Ali for his anti-war stance and his refusal to fight in Vietnam.

P.S. Oh by the way, your hero George Bush didn't fight in Vietnam either.

Dundee has never said anything like that. Why would you make up something like that?
