I am looking into buying a 3 pc. leather living room set. Never had leather furniture before. Can anyone tell me their experiences with cream colored leather furniture? Stains, care, scratches, etc.

love leather its the best, I have pets wouldnt have anything else.Use mink oil every 2or 3 mos. keeps leather supple and I have never had stains I wipe daily w/ windex or lysol heavy diluted, lysol powerful but great if pet accident kills germs and cleans. Also the mink oil makes scratches almost disapear, you can use spray pledge daily also. I say go for it!

Yes, it does stain it if it is the soft, buttery leather. The hard finish leather (which I have never seen in white or cream) repels moisture. If you have a cat that sprays or a dog that marks, I would avoid white leather. I had a $600 white leather ottoman that my dog trashed by marking it ONCE. I could not get the stain out, and neither could my local leather cleaners. Also if you allow pets on the furniture (I do) leather is a bad idea as the soft leather actually punctures easier than fabric, and the hard leather (like that oxblood look furniture with the studs) scratches very easily.

Leather with pets is great. I have a mushroom coloured living room set. While my dogs have never peed on it (so I can't answer the stain question), it holds up really well to them jumping and sleeping on it. Its really easy to clean as well, just need a damp cloth and a quick whipe and its done.

I wouldn't do leather with a dog or cat. I have heard hoorror stories from friends about rips, tears, chewing, scratches.

If your pets scratch and urinate on things in your house, then you shouldn't spend all that money on new furniture because yes it will ruin it or it will cost you a lot of money to maintain.

if leather is made from an animal.... and usually the animal would have peed on it before and not stained it by the time you got to it.... then i guess it wouldn't hurt that ur pet pees on it.... maybe u can potty train ur pet :)

In my opinion - I would never get white anything while having dogs in the house.
