I love 'thank you' notes!
I think that it is really special for somebody to take the time and effort to thank you for something... some have been so great that I even emailed/called the person to let them know how much it meant to me.
I have kept many of the very thoughtful thank you notes that friends have sent me over the years.

it's always nice to get a thank you note, especialy if it's hand written. in these days of hi-tech, people use e-mail, cell phones and instant messages to say thank you too much. it's almost like they want to get it over and done with as fast as possible. however, giving someone a hand written thank you note is very thoughtful and it will show the other person that you care. besides showing you have good etiquette, you'll make someone's day!

I appreciate them. If they went to the trouble to write them, I can take a moment to read them. Actually, it is very rude not to send a note if someone gives you a gift.

I appreciate them. It means that somebody has taken the time to let me know that they are thinking of me and that they appreciate the time and care that I took in selecting a gift.

I love getting any card...I have two friends that save their cards they receive from people...I have a scrap book for mine...Some day when I'm old, I can look at those cards and think about those nice people and friends who were so thoughtful and thankful.

I usually just chuck them, I find thank you notes to be an out dated form of etiquette

I appreciate them. What I don't like is having to write them even
though I thanked them in person.
