Has anyone ever bought a wedding gown off ebay? did you like it?? How would you dress if you were just going to the court house? could you still wear a dress or is that way too much???

There have been many civil ceremonies where the bride was at the courthouse in full wedding attire (big, poofy dress AND veil). You should wear whatever you want to wear . . . it's still your wedding day whether it's at a church or a courthouse.
As for buying from eBay, I have many associates with dresses for sale and I would only recommend that you check the feedback ratings and comments before buying anything off of eBay.
If you're interested, you may want to check out Dreams by Renee http://www.dreamsbyreneebridal.com They have some absolutely gorgeous dresses PLUS they will make custom dresses based on drawings/pictures at extremely reasonable prices! Also, the prices listed on their site are suggested retail and as a rep, I am authorized to offer discounts if you are interested.
Good luck!

I found my gown on eBay. The transaction was incredibly smooth, and the dress was exactly what I was looking for! I highly recommend this method.
If you're doing a civil ceremony you might want to check with whomever is officiating and see what THEY recommend. You might still find a nice gown on eBay or wherever, but they might give you a better idea of what is "overdressed" if that is your concern. However, it IS your wedding after all, and if you guys want to show up in the Princess Di wedding gown & tux go for it!

I would try finding something new near your home. try consignment shops or clearance sections at bridal stores. why risk not having it because of shipping problems. It's your wedding wear what you want. you can have a very simple wedding dress (which is always the best in any wedding) and be beautiful, Be very care full getting dress off ebay since you don't have it right in front of you you never know what is "wrong"

I bought mine off eBay's Cinderella Shoppe ( I purchased the Capri Milly) and it is absolutely perfect. You could wear a dress to the courthouse, I just suggest picking something simply elegant, not overly decorated and something without a train.

Sure you can wear a bridal gown, but be careful. I married in the court too, in the judge's office! There was bearly room to stand, so I would recommend that you choose a gown that's not too puffy.

Really you can wear anything you like. Sunday best. I wouldn't really worry about buying a dress if you aren't really doing anything. Sept maybe your soon to be hubby might like to see you in it. I had a wedding. I didn't by mine off e-bay. But went to a second hand store. It only cost 240$ for my dress. I got to try it on. Maybe try something like that.
