Yes because then it shows you don't like him for him and you want to change him to make him better instead of being his self. What if he told you not to act preppy?
I do know where you are coming from. Abercrombie dating Hot Topic. It's really weird but if you really like him then you shouldnt want to cchange him in the first place

What if your boyfriend told you to stop being a prep and start acting goth? Would you dump him? If I were you, just leave it be. If you are happy, then it shouldn't matter. If you are unhappy, then this should be sign to end things. Don't try to change him....you wouldn't like it if someone tried to change who you really are!

He would be offended and consider it, it's very annoying when people pretend to like you, and then try to change how you dress or act just so they won't be embarassed around you. Considering I wear "goth" clothes alot, people try to change how I dress. It's very annoying. If you can't take the fact that he dresses differently than you, maybe you should be going out with a guy who buys from American Eagle and Abercrombie.

Probably. You can't make people change. Why don't you go goth instead if you care that much? You can't just expect him to go, "I'm not goth anymore" because you want him too. Either you are together or not, but don't try making him do something he don't want to.

YEAH, because that's who he is and you are trying to change him. Just because you are a prep now doesn't mean jack in the real world. Don't try and change him and maybe you should try to change the way you think or just break up with him if you are not happy with who he is.

Maybe but probably because you're asking a lot out of him to change himself the way he acts and dresses. Ask yourself would you do that for someone? What would you think of someone who asked you to do that?

i think he would...if you really loved him and cared about him than you wouldn't ask him to change..what if he asked you to change your lifestyle? i think you need to accept him as who he is and being goth is who he is
