Wheee!!! Ask yer doc to make more predictions for the future! Guy/lady must be a psychic!!
If those pills are the only treatment you're getting for your anxiety, doc may unfortunately be right (provided nothing's ever going to change in your life). But if you'd like to challenge your doctor's verdict, go find a good (cognitive behavioural) therapist and discuss your problem with him/her. Chances are you'll eventually be able to skip the pills. No pills will take away your anxiety problem, they just block out the anxiety attacks.

You may not have to take medications for the rest of your life. It also can be part of your life cycle or just learning a new skill to help with decrease anxiety. Are you seeing a therapist for help and guidance with coping skills?

take it. The problem with these drugs is they work so well people start thinking they don't need them anymore and go off them just to end up in the same place they started before the meds. Do what your doctor says and stay in therapy as well.

YOU NEED TO GET A SECOND OPINION, MY BEST FRIEND HAS BEEN ON IT FOR A YEAR AND A HALF, AND SHE HAD A KIND OF A MENTAL BREAK DOWN, AND THE DOCTORS AT THE HOSPITALS WERE SHOCKED THAT SHE HAD BEEN ON IT FOR THAT LONG AND THEY SAID IT'S NOT OKAY. I DONT KNOW THOUGH, SO BE CAREFUL.
