God is One.
There was only one Religion in the begining.
Thereafter people migrated from one place to another after increasing their population, in search of better place for shelter and food. They took away some items in relation to their religion & culture.
At new place, new languages and culture developed. Also the word God translated in various languages.
Various Holy men gave sacred teachings time to time, which started more new branches. Also some powerful Tribes started their own branch of Religion and written their own Holy Book, consisting of the stories of their ancestors. These powerful tribes remained busy in capturing and looting the women, wealth & cattle of other Tribes.
Today we have the modern form of these tribes, busy in fighting for the same.

There are different religions, because we have become divided. ln this division, religion was taught from what was handed down. The one thing that's for certain, there is God, and he is the One. He is the Most High and the creator of all. And the true believers aren't the ones killing in the name if God. Its not having so many Gods that's causing unrest, its having so much evil!

There is only ONE true God, and his name is Jehovah. All the rest are gods made of stone, gold, silver, wood, plaster or other various materials. As for Allah and the other names of far eastern gods they are merely men. They are not true and they can't do anything for you. People who believe in these and worship these will become as these. They are inanimate and made by human hands. The others based their beliefs on their philosophies. The true God has always been and will always be. He has had one book inspired by himself to have been written and that is the Bible. Every answer to any question can be answered by that book. Open it and find out how the true God will end all this suffering and wars and bring forth a beautiful Paradise for all of us to live forever upon this earth.

Allah in English is God, The Christians, Muslin's, Jews all have the same God. Hindi, Hmong and others I don't know much about.
Having faith in God is not starting these wars, the current war has been going on since 1880 when Israeli settled in the middle east next to a people that hate them. England did that because they controlled the area at the time. The Jewish people lost their right to land because they rejected Jesus. Israeli will always have enemies due to this. Us Americans will protect them because of who we are. We believe in the right to live and let live.

According to the Christian Bible and the Jewish Torah, God is One. He is one Person, indivisible, whose universality to Christian believers has three parts, God, the Son and the Holy Ghost, the Trinity. Yet all are God. God speaks in the Bible to tell us I Am, and I am One. There is no contradiction; whether we speak of Christ or the Holy Spirit, we are, as Christians, speaking of God.
Since other faiths, other traditions don't subscribe to the Messiah of Christ, they do not have the same God that Christ represents on earth. Their gods are as diverse, often, as their separate cultural traditions, even when they profess Allah, or Mohamad, or Buddha or other gods, they have different interpretations of what their god wants of them. This is not true of what Christ came to earth to bring, peace and love among all men. Yet, even Christ knew it would not happen without, first, his sacrifice, and then a long period of travail after which he would return to redeem his people. This is where the world, in its unrest, is headed, to the final days, which no one but God knows its time.
There are many organizations working to bring about the change of heart needed to convert diverse peoples to one faith on earth so that Christ's promised redeemption will reach all the world. One that I'm most familiar with is The Jesus Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ. It brings a well produced film in the native language of the area to even romote parts of the globe to win the hearts of people to Christ. Until recently it was headed by my friend and high school classmate, Paul Eshleman, who has written two books on The Jesus Film's history and adventures in areas often unfriendly to Christianity.

Christians and Muslims believe in one God
Its just that Christians believe Christ was the son of God and Muslims believe Moh was a prophet of God.
Its not religion that causes the problem
Its the fact that they use religion as an excuse.
I am a Christian myself but at the same time we must respect the right of others to believe what they want.
Using differences in religion to start wars or kill inocent civilians is wrong

Yes, there is only one true God. He is the God of all people, no matter what their race of religion is.
People of different religions are the ones that are confused about this. God is not confused. He is all true, all knowing, all powerful, and ALL LOVING!
Yes, all loving. God is love. When reading any "holy book" as you call it, the book or bible, or Koran says we should love each other. Help each other and don't harm each other. Any book that says to hurt, not love, do evil, or anything that is not positive to mankind is not a book about God.

all of those gods are the same. Each religion teaches us the same things but in different ways. Having so many gods does not bring unrest, people bring unrest.

Perhaps they all had the One Creator God in mind when the religions were all started, but the God who sent Jesus is not Allah or Buddah or any other god who is worshipped by the other religions. God was very clear about sending his son, and that he and his son are one. Whoever denys his son, will be denied by the father.

Christians, Jews and Muslims all started with the prophet Abraham. Everyone thinks they have the true religion. It is the misinterpation of religion that has religions fighting. God wants peace not war and states it in all religions.
