You can go to USPS.COM and fill out the forwarding form there and have it done, or you can go to the local office and ask for the Movers Guide, and fill out the card on the spot.

go to the post office and change your address get your mail forward from your old address

I think in your case you need to go to your college's adminstration office and ask them to redirect mail for you
