Tempo's are OK, as long as you maintain them well. There do not have much value on the market, so if it in good shape (checked out by a qualified mechanic) you may be able to have some cheap transportation!

I would not pay more than a few hundred dollars for it, depending on the trim level!

In the business they are known as Tempo(rary) cars!

Yes it is reliable, but it depends if you are the classic young male driver with a lead foot and no automotive care knowledge.
If you are that person I give the car 1 year for u to kill it.

So are they a competent investment?...... NO automobile, NO style of automobile is a competent investment. Now I see no reason to think of a Mustang as in basic terms a whiteboy automobile. they are effective autos or a minimum of i like them yet then for $8,000 it actual relies upon on what you purchase. A 6 cyl. that has been dealt with may be effective, A V8 it extremely is taken automobile of may be a competent one... yet how grow to be it pushed.. a warm rod? you will get junk. So get one in case you opt for, yet have it regarded at until now you purchase.

130k is a lot for a vehicle. I would find out what the vehicles record is, what has been done on it, etc. Either from the current owners, lot, or website (carfax).

There sure is a lot of them around, if that is any indication. I have worked on quite a few of them & my only complaint is they are somewhat lacking in working room in the engine compartment, making for more difficult and expensive repairs.

I had an 84', parts were fairly cheap, but seemed to need many more repairs than my 87 Accord. But again you gets what you pay for.

um...in my experience, anything under the name of Ford is a junk pile. Get a toyota/honda and save on the repairs. Our Windstar is only 7 years old and its done for!
