Genesis 3:7
And the eyes of them were both opened, and they knew that they were naked and they sewed FIG leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Could this fruit have been a fig since this is a fruit that was mentioned but this fruit was caught in Adams throat and from this is were we men get our Adam apple

The apple was adopted perhaps out of a need for a fruit most people would be familiar with. We do not know what type it was, or even if the type that it was is still in existence. All we know is that God created it as a test of Adam and Eve's loyalty, since all beings were created with freewill. After all, what satisfaction is there to being worshiped by a creature who is not doing it out of want but out of ignorance?

Bungyow, do you also subscribe to "Weekly World News?" The word used in Genesis 3:13 is "nasha" in Hebrew, which means "to lead astray or to morally seduce."

Because of tradition.

What is the truth though? Could there really be such a tree? What kind of fruit would be "knowledge of good and evil" fruit?

There is more here than meets the eye!

We humans have to conclude something in our feeble minds. The thing is though is there are many verses that don't give exact specifics. I am sure there is a reason. We will find out someday. What if it did say apple? We might not allow those who eat apples to worship with us? Sounds crazy, but I have heard real stories of crazier. God bless you sister as you seek God and His Word through Jesus Christ.

Even more interesting if god Knew all things that would happen he is responsible for the devil. ANd if he created adam and eve blind to good and evil how could he punish them for not being able to tell the difference when they ate the apple.

The Greeks had countless apples of their myths, the golden apple imagine of Snow White - maximum fairy memories have their roots in myths. i imagine in case you've been to ask everyone to call a fruit maximum folk ought to assert apple. different ingredients say they're a spread of apple - potato is apple of the floor in French, tomato (i'm delivered about trust) is love apple and what about pomegranate - the fruit Demetris eat 6 seeds of and so had to spend 6 months in the underworld.

Not to sound smart but they were the only ones who were in the garden at that time. They were given the choice to make a decision on whether or not to eat from that tree.

True the bible only says fruit, but it was more than likely a fig, because they covered up their nakedness with fig leaves. And figs are a native plant to the middle eastern region.Genesis 3:7

Maybe because they are "tempting" I don;t know.

I had a jaw surgery a month ago and I took a bite from an apple yesterday when I wasn't suppose to, now I am suffering the consequences.

We don't know that for sure. However, I'm sure you've heard of the expression "forbidden fruit.". I think that expression is a better representation of what really happened.
