Our relationship was getting too serious, and he got scared and ran away. It had nothing to do with me, I didn't do anything to deserve this. But I cared so much about him. I put him before everything and everyone. I want him to come back to me. I miss him so much.

This happened to me once. My then boyfriend told me he felt too tied-down for a young guy. Although I've always told him it isn't his responsibility to send me home or accompany me all the time. But he felt that that's what a boyfriend should do.

So he suggested a cooling-down period. Well, I was really crushed. But what could I do? However, after a short while, like bout 2 - 3 weeks he suggested that we reconcile. Cos accordingly to him, he missed me too much and was afraid that I would move on to greener pasture. As you can guess, I was elated.

Though I can't really give you good advice since you didn't describe much. But I can tell you, if he loves you alot he'll come up. He'll miss you so much to wanna let you go. Still, you gotta be sure when he said he needed 'space', he means it space. And not an excuse for a break-up.

On your part, maybe you can lighten up a little? Let him know you're not pressurizing him into anything. And he can still have his so-called space. I wish you good luck in anycase. Hope all turns out well for you cosI know what you're going through now.

The chances are slim to none that he's going to come back, sweetie. When a guy says that he needs his space, what it really means is that, "I like you, but I don't love you. I just realized that I never will."

The reason I say that is because when a person loves another person, they don't think about "space". They think about how great the future is going to be with the person they love, and how it would kill them to be away from them.

He didn't love you if he's leaving. You don't leave someone that you love for "space".

You won't get over it by the time that you wake up tomorrow, but you will in time. Remember that it's okay to give everything you have to someone if they love you in return, but don't make someone a priority if they're only seeing YOU as an option.

I really do hope you're not going to put your life on holding waiting for him to come back. If he grows up and changes his mind and you're available MAYBE you can talk.

There's nothing wrong with him needing some space but you shouldn't let how he feels dictate what you do with your life.

Let see do you really want him if he gave you that lame excuse? He is childish! I can tell you to pray about this and maybe he will come back but do really want that..a man you have waited on hand and foot..put before anyone and everyone and he gave you this excuse.. sweety there is someone else great out there ...and he will not take the fact that you waited on him for granted....

Some try or bounce off of you when they're desperate. Are you a bath towel? Some aren't used to being smothered. Start smothering yourself but not too much. Take a break and fantasize. Needy people are like vampires....don't suck at it.

Give him his space and if he cared for you like you did him he'll be back but don't sit around waiting on him he's a guy and may never figure it out.

you are lucky. many guys don't realize they need to grow up. at least this guy did. i say let him go. perhaps later when he is grown up you all will get back together. but if he wasn't ready for a relationship sweetie then don't bother pushing him into one. it would be a disaster.
