Just an old wives myth. Go ahead shower away! Now if you eat and go swim you could end up with cramps, and a stomach ache. Same as if you eat then go for a run.

Humm I just heard that swimming after eating can cause stomach ache but a shower.. I don't really think so as you're not moving a lot in a shower usually!

it quite is from the chinese language classic perception that when you eat you have extra 'warmth' and having a shower will reason 'wind' to construct up on your abdomen, inflicting cramps and muscle aches and pains. whilst i does not be so rapid to brush off it as 'rubbish', i think of you may desire to take it with a pinch of salt.

No! It's bad to go swimming up to an hour after you eat, because you need at least an hour to digest your food past it causing a problem.
LOL I think you have a small hot water heater at your house, and Mom wants you to wait until the dishes are done first!
Great trick, Mom!

it's not the same as swimming, where you move around and can get cramps
just standing in the shower has never done harm to anyone i know after eating, so...

NO. Your mother just believes an "old wives tale." You are in no danger. If she asks you if you have eaten before you take a shower or if after you shower she asks if you have eaten just say no to put her mind at ease.

no, that is only for swimming in a pool where you cant touch, because you have to use your stomache muscles to digest food, and also to tread water
