While some of the immigrant protests during the last few months, some immigrants made wrong mistakes that for the view of anyone are not correct and acceptable.
Eventhough Im a immigration reform supporter, I didnt like what happened with the flags because I wouldnt like to see another flag above mine in my home land.
I ask for apoligies and the problem was fixed after the protest-organizers told supporters to be careful with what they did, since it represents our immigrant community.
Im really sorry that this happened but everything was done to prevent this :)

When waving a One nations flag above another it is a sign of dominance. To wave the Mexican flag above the American flag ( mind you this is taking place in America ) it shows more respect for the Mexican flag which is not the American Crest. The American Flag is the representation of what American Stands for. 50 stars represent the 50 states of America. red strips represent the blood shed fighting for our country, white symbolizes loyalty, and blue, the unity of our citizens together as one nation and finally the 13 strips represent the first 13 colonies who colonized the U.S.. ( please don't go any further than that we know U.S. history has some F|_|cked up moments.)
This is not something we should be outraged at but merly aware of and corrected. For example you would post the U.S. Flag in the wrong direction would you?
There is a Reason why when you go to an International Hotel that you don't see one flag above another it is to show respect and tolerance. By them doing so it shows they are open and welcoming to all visitors.
I think we shouldn't get mad just correct the indiscretion. This being said. I'm a Mexican. Born in Mexico, spent my childhood in Mexico and Became a U.S. Citizen. spread tolerance not ignorance.

Absolutely confront that person. Way too many soldiers have sacraficed the unthikable to eliminate that very type of insult. The American flag is our symbol thet represents all that we stand for, what weve been through, and who we are. And I dont like to be known as a pushover. So all the people who say "its just a flag" or "let it go" must not be very clear on American history, or are too nieve to care. Dont hang my soldiers out to dry with your "who cares" attitude. Maybe they will care when they are dragging their butts to work in the morning and see the long line of "immigrants" at the government building awaiting their handouts with their brand new trucks in the parking lot. Ive always wondered why people move here from countries to get away from their own poverty stricken sesspool, then want to fly flags everywhere to show how proud they are of the country they just escaped from? If they were so proud of their country why dont they live there?

At NO time should the Mexican flag be flown above the American flag on our soil. If you see this Contact your local American Legion post or local veterans group. Bring attention to it right away and have it removed. We had a situation near my home where a business was flying the French flag Above the American flag. The business is owned by a French company. To make a Long story short they do not fly there French flag above ours anymore.

Well, i'm Mexican and whenever I see a Mexican flag above the American flag. It disgusts me. This is America, not Mexico. If they love Mexico so much, why don't they go back. And another thing, I hate it when you go to any store and the workers don't speak english and they look at you like your a weirdo because you don't speak spanish, but they're the ones that need to learn to speak english. Sorry, I went a little overboard.

I thought there was a law where if you have multiple flags flying in a group then the American flag goes above the rest of them.

Demand it be removed ,then if they don't take action to remove it ,then take it down. It is against the law of protocol to fly any nations flag higher than ours. They also flew our flag upside down and below the Mexico flag . Flying the American flag upside down is a sign of distress, and should never be done. I resent the fact that it was done on a school ground that American tax payers paid for. I hope for their sake I never see it in person,my husband nearly died in Viet Nam for this country under that American flag.I don't hate Mexicans ,Id confront anyone of any nationality that did a disrespectful thing like that.to my country's national emblem, our flag.

Those of you that are condoning this act are just as bad as the flag burners. Freedom of speech my eye. Read up on your flag etiquette. Flag etiquette is in black and white. No interpretation. I would call the police and let them know I am about to take care of the problem myself.
I cannot believe some of you idiots think this above act is ok!

I am simply appalled at some of the answers above me here. If you are a bona fide legal American, how can you sit idly by and not get angry when you see our flag treated in such a manner!!
It may "only be a flag", but it is the SYMBOL of freedom for us. Get off your lazy butt and stand up for something. If you enjoy your freedoms and your lifestyle, then DO SOMETHING to keep it. Or, you could do nothing, but I'll bet you losers will be the first ones in line whining and waiting for your government handout.
Here's the bottom line: You have got to stand for something or you will fall for anything. Remember this: United We Stand, Divided We Fall. Think about what that means in the big picture.
