every time i try, i always get foam in it....ive held a cup straight, ive held it at angles, and all foam all the time....whereas ive seen people (obviously bartenders) do it easily with very little or even no foam

Hold the glass straight, and the can/bottle upside down, this way all the foam remains in the can/bottle!!!

Tilt is the way to go. Another trick is to put the nozzel inside the foam as you are tilting. This will push the foam out and the beer in the cup.

This is coming from a bar so it might be different with a keg and a tap you actually get from the beer store.

Well, coming from an experienced bartender, tilt the glass (never use plastic) and pour slow and steady! practice a couple of times. Depending on the beer, foam will be more or less.

I agree with ak. But I would not eliminate the foam entirely. That releases the aroma and flavor and allows the beer to reach its full potential. Whats beer with out a head? Enjoy.

Tip the cup and slowly pour against the inside of the cup. As the cup fills gently tip the cup up vertically.

Just tilt the cup and you will get hardly any foam.

You have to angle both the bottle and the cup towards each other. Have fun practicing.

if yuo tilt the glass and place the spout/rim of bottle against the glass. it works like a charm. if you are puring from a can then deal with it. cans unless you pour it extreamly slow. but hey if you are drinking froma can i doubt you are that picky.
