Yes, when I was 19 years old, I fell head over heels in love with a girl I attended university with. She rejected me and it was the lowest point in my life at the time. Stupidly, I decided to swallow 60 aspirins which did not kill me but I was truly sick for days. Oh and NO, I was not headache free for 2 months. This was a turning point in my life and I learned that life is truly worth living.

Not for those reasons or try for other reasons, but I did have plans and notions at various points in my life to end my life, but each time someone intervened and I was given the help I needed - finally I got it through my thick head that giving up my life because of someone else's choices was ridiculous - because giving up my life was a permanent solution. I started on mediation for the depression that actually led to the thoughts and I've been suicidal-thought free for five years now. If you want to discuss further coping methods and skills and personal value regardless of life's hard blows - please email.

No. Life goes on and if it didn't work out that person is not the right one. Keep going, life is worth it and the right one is worth the wait! There is so much more to life then a significant other. So much to do, to see, to accomplish. Hang in there!

No way. But I heard of a case like that where the guy killed himself because of his break-up with the girl. He went through depression and hanged himself. It's sad to hear about these situations.

Why would anyone want to commit suicide??That is sooooo stupid because there is much more to life than just one relationship. I choose to get even and get even is what I do. Like I called his present g/f at the time and told her that he was messing around with her best friend ...which liked him. I play games like that if I am that mad but otherwise just get over it......

Yes, with drugs like alcohol for about 35 years. I was and am not afraid of death. I do not know enough about death to be afraid of it. Most of my life death was ideal place of escape. Life... "I know enough about it to be much very afraid of it.' Only the last few years... I have been getting a less afraid of it.

I tried to kill myself once, but I was too strong for myself and I couldn't do it.
I inflicted massive wounds, but the force of life was too great within me and I kept recovering.

Why should I kill myself for an idiot that didn't see my potential to be a great person in their life?
Me no longer being in their life is a great loss........To them!
