On an actual date... I would say either once or twice a month. Most of the time us guys are usually going out in groups of both guys/girls or just going out with a group of guys to a bar or restaurant.
If we are lucky to run across a nice girl, more than just once or twice!

Well now define typical. As to me when I was in college I went on dates ont he weekend as my week was taken up with studying and trying to get my degree.
Which I am still working on.

When I was a freshman in college the girl I was seeing was a junior in high school. I went home to see her every weekend but two.
