why did islam become terrorist religion only after 9/11???did you forget the 1500 past years of peace and you only see the last 5 years of "bombing" (if you claim it was islamic teachings)??before 9/11 no one did say that islam is a terrorist religion??or do you think that islam changed it's teaching in the last 5 years???before one day of 9/11 events if i asked someone about islam he will say that it's a peace religion, and if i ask the same person about islam after 9/11 he will say that it's a religion of terrorism!!!!is this logical!!!plz be reasonable when you think about our religion, don't be fooled with the media, or do you think that more than a billion people became a terrorist in the last 5 years!!!

My friend, Islam is not a terrorist religion. Most people are not saying that it is. It is a radical group that just happen to be terrorists that cause the concern. It is these same terrorists that say it is wonderful to die and go to heaven by killing innocent people. It does say in the Quran(Koran) death to the Jehad, which is anyone that doesn't believe in their religion. However,I am a protestant that lived in Indonesia for 12 yrs. as a child. I love the Indonesian people who are mostly muslims. They are not violent people and they are very spiritual. Sadly, though, there are religious fanatics there as well. They use religion to get young people to join their group of hatred and terror. It is very sad and it causes violence and misunderstanding in our world that is so in need of love and compassion. If I were Muslim, I would gather many people, and start preaching the good about the Islamic religion. In other words, share with the world, what the religion really represents and do it with love and you will see many, many, people show you respect and love in return. Right now many people fear the religion because of the terrorisim associated with it. It is the fanatics that are doing this to ALL of us. The religion of Islam has never been a religion of peace. You should learn history. Islam is a religion, whose methods of conversion have been Fascist from the very beginning, starting with Mohamed, who founded the religion. People of Islamic faith think they are better than everyone else, and those who don't believe the way they do should be killed, because they are inferior unbelieving human beings. Islamic armies swept across the Middle East, killing those who would not convert. The Middle East before Mohamed was mostly Christian, but had other religions too. The Crusades were an attempt to take back the formerly Christian lands from the Muslims. When the Islamic armies are too weak and too afraid to fight stronger more courageous armies, the Muslims have turned to assassination and terrorism. Muslims were not always terrorists, sometimes they were strong enough to fight as armies. Today, even against out numbered Israel, the Muslims are weak, so they must use terrorism as their weapon. They would be easily defeated in any regular military struggle.

Peace? From Islam? Just the prior 5 years??? I'm afraid you are seriously mistaken or misled.

Islam has been terrorizing the U.S. since 1805, when the USS Intrepid and Philadelphia had to intervene in Libya. That's where the U.S. Marine Corps Hymn got it's line, "...to the shores of Tripoli..."

And just so you know, the last five years have been banner years for jihad! Since 9/11, the Religion of Peace has committed 5,473 Islamic Terrorist attacks worldwide. Just in the last week, there were 55 Jihad Attacks; 363 Dead Bodies; and 558 Critically Injured in Islamic Terrorist attacks.

Islam is not a "terror religion" -- but Islamic terrorists have been active long before 9/11.

They have also committed deadly acts of terrorism many, many times before 9/11.

Numerous hijackings, bombings, kidnappings, and so on have been committed by Islamic fanatics many times over the past 35 years or so.

Your implication that Islamic terrorists were never active prior to 9/11 is, no offense, very false.

The families of the thousands of people killed in acts of Islamic terrorism prior to 9/11 would surely find your assertion ridiculous.

Seriously, I totally agree with you. I'm not Muslim, but whenever I see people on here bashing it I try to tell them to take a broader and more historical view and stop being so influenced by the media. It's a shame that a whole group of people have to be marred by the acts of a few extremists. It happens with crazy Christian extremists every now and then too, but the Christians are really quick to denounce those people as not REAL Christians.

I think what a lot of people would like to see is the Muslim community and religious leaders to outright denounce these extremist Muslims, and to say that they are not true Muslims and that they want NOTHING to do with them. But instead a lot of these governments, other Islaamic sects have stayed quiet about the extremists, praised them, provided them with money and weapons, and not done anything to disarm them or severe their ties to power. So... I think that has done a lot to make the whole religion seem bad. There needs to be a CLEAR divide of the peace-loving Muslims from the extremist Muslims.

And I've heard the argument of "we didn't do anything wrong, it was those extremists, so why should we have to apologize?", and logically, no one has to apologize who didn't commit the act, but it would improve public relations I'm sure. I always critisize the Bush administration for having the WORST public relations imaginable I believe, but I also think that the peace-loving Muslims have not taken care of their own public relations, instead relying on the intellect of the world... well sorry, but the world is full of a bunch of idiots, and without really giving them a clear message, they are not going to come to it by themselves.

That's the reality of it. The media keeps hurting the image, but if there were a bunch of Muslims who stood up for peace and stood up against the extremists, I'm sure there'd be a change in attitude. No, it is not their obligation or job, but it would be beneficial for them and imrpove their image amongst the world while others are ruining it in their name.

The trade center bombing in 1993 was also linked to Islamic terrorists.
The USS Cole, was Islamic terrorists.
Ask the Israelis about them since the 1940's.
Did the terror groups such as Al Qaeda and Hamas form in 2001? No, they've been around forever preaching their methods as reasonable action to support their beliefs.

Well, . . it is not really peace.

Muslim has an understanding, that when they are minority, they will comply, and accept any treaty. They will cry for human right etc.

For example, in many western nations, they all deman their rights to worship, and insist that others will respect their believe and practises.

Just look at those non-muslim in any Muslim nations, see how they are treated? Were they given any right? Most are even force to observe the Muslim law.

By the way, if you look at Muslim law, Sayra Law, you will note that it is very very unfair to the none-Muslim. It is written.

Bloodshed has always been their sole aim. From the start, if anyone oppose Mohamad, they will be slaughtered. It is their practise to convert non-believer thru' fear.

Sad, but it is true. I always thought, they are hald brothers to Christian,and should be friendly. But after 911, I did a research, and was shock for what i have read in the Bible!.
