Don't show off. Shut up, sit back and figure out what is going on.

Be prepared to study. Get a book with all blank pages. Maybe a diary like book. Every day, after school, write the answers to questions that will probably be on tests. Be organized by class and date. Read what you wrote yesterday, 7 days ago, and 28 days ago.

Aim to be a good student, not a popular student. For each hard class, create a study group with you and the best students in that class as members. Be responsible. Divide up the chapters into parts and each do a part to share with the group. Kick out slackers who don't do their part. Write the group's answers to important questions in your study diary.

Learn how to regulate your study into 30 minute chunks... 25 minutes of study and 5 minutes of rest. After 3 sessions take a longer break. Then resume, but study for 25 minutes and rest for 10 minutes.

Take care of your nutrition and health. Don't start taking drugs or having sex. Those activities will distract you from your main purpose, which is to grow up to be an educated, healthy and responsible person.

When you get a crush on someone, use it as motivation to study with them, not as a way to have sex with them. Sex and drugs are your biggest problems in High School. Not only will those activities lower your GPA, they can both alter your career path drastically. If you get an STD, get a girl pregnant, get HIV, become addicted or dead from drugs, your choice of University and career will be very limited.

High school will be an important time in your life. Those you accept as friends will help shape your life. Be responsible in who you hang with. If your friends start doing drugs then you have a hard choice to make. One path will lead you up to a happy and successful life. The other path will lead you down into despair and failure. I hope you make the right choices. Relax. Be yourself, and let yourself become a great person in the future.

Pick out a hairstyle. Have clothes that you are comfortable to be seen in. Join a club or have a clique of friends you can rely on.

And learn the difference between "advise" and "advice".

something i wish someone told me:

High school is temporary.
so dont get caught up in social stuff.
dont worry about popularity.
cause when you graduate, its all over. and chances are youll never have to see most of these people ever again.

Remember that you are there to graduate and to have fun - try to do both, but keep in mind the priority is to graduate, hopefully with good grades!
