Ok, I bought a stationary bike a few years ago from Walmart for about $100 but the thing is crap. It's very noisy and it's pretty much garbage. Does anyone know where I can buy a fairly priced exercise bike? $100-250 would be preferable. THANK YOU!

look in the classified ads in your local newspaper

if you don't have any luck that way place a classified ad for 'want to buy', you are sure to find one!

you can also call around pawn shops & thrift stores

p.s. if you get a used one clean it with BLEACH to kill the stranger-germs, lol

There is no beating a decent bicycle... not a walmart bike, not a k-mart bike, and not a stationary bike... I would recommend a Mongoose (no I'm not affiliated with them in any way, they just happen to have more bike for the money!) In any event, expect to spend about $500+ for a decent bike; I just bought a Marin; (I know, but Mongoose bikes aren't readily available here in Puerto Rico, and I spent more than I would have, if I bought a Mongoose.)... spend the cash, and you will be happy with the product you get. Go outside, get comfortable with your bike, stay away from traffic (side streets, etc.), until you are comfortable with the bike... then, ride with traffic, and always stay to the right. Obey all traffic signs (stop signs, lights, etc.) Learn the old fashioned arm signals, and wear a helmet. Oh, make certain you get toe cages put on your bike; get used to them, and learn to pedal in a 360 degree fashion (instead of just 'pushing down on the pedals, you will use more of your leg muscles, (some you didn't know you had)!, Bicycle to work on nice days, if you don't work too far from home... when I lived in the Metro Boston area, I biked 11 miles to and from work, every day... rain, shine, sleet and snow! I loved it, and I was in great shape! (Besides, my employer had a great gym, with nice hot showers). Really, don't sit in a room, pedal and go nowhere... you will quickly get bored, and never acheive your goal, (which I will assume, is to be more fit). Since coming to Puerto Rico, I have lost 35lbs, just eating right, and walking... bicycling starts this week! It's about time, after five years of sitting on my butt, and drinking too many beers, at too many bbq's! I feel better, look better, and younger, and I am trying to bring my g/f along for the ride...

Check the Good Will, thrift shops and garage sales....a lot of people get rid of very good exercise equipment for some reason.

Try Craigslist.com
You can also try Yahoo! recycling groups http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Cultures___Community/Issues_and_Causes/Environment/Issues_and_Activism/Recycling?st=10
eBay is another option. Sometimes you find local listings.

Good luck.
