I am a muslim and I don't believe that innocent people should be killed even at the time of war. Do you feel this recent push where innocent people are dying is pushing for religions to pick sides and making it harder to be patient with eachother? I would like to hear sincere answers. Would you feel differently if it was in your country where the innocents were being killed? And do you feel that people see muslim childrens life as less worthy as other major countries?

Thank you for your responses. I want to leave this open so the people can pick the best answer. There were so many good answers I agreed with so many of you. I am american and I was there in 9/11 and yes I have seen them pulling babies from the rubble today and I just broke down into tears. Like one of the answers said, its the same when an innocent baby dies its sinceless. I think for the people living there they see Hizbollah as protecting them not hurting them and even those that are against them would be too afraid to say so, but I m not there so I can't speak for them its just tough times everywhere, and I am struggling to cope. Thanks again don't forget to vote for your best answer.
Pray for you all the best and peace

I think such situations severely test people...

Hizbollah is anathema to most Lebanese, but Israel's actions have given the organisation cross-party backing from Shias, Sunnis, Christians and Druze.

Why, because Hizbollah is the only organisation defending Lebanon or capable of defending Lebanon. The Lebanese army is not as well-equipped as Hizbollah.

The west sees all life that is not western as less valuable than a western life.

That is the only explanation for the failure to intervene in the 1994 Rwanda genocide when 1 million were killed. Or the 1998-2002 war in the Democratic Republic of Congo when 4 million people were killed - the biggest casualty toll in a war since World War II. It was hardly reported in the West.

Lebanese lives are less expendable than the lives of Black Africans, as they are getting a lot more reporting in the west for 750 Lebanese versus the figures I quoted above. However, the West still values the lives of 50 Israelis more highly.

The life of one American, would probably be worth that of 50 Israelis.

There seems to be a sickening sliding scale of value of human life.

Getting back to this war - Israel needs to understand that the only thing it is achieving is destroyng Lebanon and strengthening NOT weakening Hizbollah.

To dzeyoyo123 below me: That is exactly the rhetoric Al Qaeda used to justify 9/11 you idiot. According to your own words Americans can only blame themselves for the WTC bombings. You're mad.

I agree with you. Much like the United States, the people who are not affiliated with the government's decisions are the innocents who come in the line of fire.

Our people have no say in what our government decides. We have no say when we go to war, who we wage war upon, nor how long that war lasts. We just kind of sit here and pray for all concerned. God has everything under control. He knows what his plan is. The best we can do is continue to pray, continue to be faithful, and God will bless that---especially during this time of apocalyptic events.

Not all Muslims are terrorists. But some in the name of religion get into the act of Jihad without understanding what they are into.
Sunni Muslims fought with Shiite Muslims 8years of Iran-Iraq war. Even now, in Iraq large number innocent Muslims and children are killed everyday. Also, how can you carry the symbol of Sword and Machine Gun in your flags ? How any religion can allow showing a machine gun as their flag when it is manufactured in a Christian or Atheist country ?

I have seen innocent children killed for no reason other than somebody didn't like their ethnicity/ religion. I am against bashing Muslims and Jews and everyone else.
PEOPLE, WAKE UP! It doesn't have to be like this. It has happened in my country. I have experienced holding the body of my dead child, killed for no reason, except hatred. I am not a Muslim or a Jew; the experience is the same.

We are all sisters, when we hold our dead children's' bodies. It is insane.

I have no answers, except that every life is sacred and infinitely valuable.

God bless us all.

yes it should, they should be in arms against the terrorist who hide amoung the innocent citizens cuasing all of this.

The citizens should rise up and throw out the terrorist and show Isreal that they indeed do want peace.

But as long as they help and work with the terrorist, hide them, don't leave when they know they are there, I can say are they really innocent are not just families of the terrorist or supporters of the terrorist.

Put the blame where it belongs.

But the truth is that the extreme terrorist and others in Iran, Iraq and other nations are and have always been working together.

To respond to your question about Muslim children's lives being less worthy than others.....

When the World Trade Center in New York was destroyed on September 11th, I watched news footage of Palestinian men, women, and children dancing in the streets in celebration of the death and destruction of 3,000 Americans. Now, I ask you, have you seen anyone celebrating the deaths of Lebanese children? I haven't.

what i really think is alot of people in the world have gotten soft and forgotten that war is hell and people die .... They can go ahead and pick sides and foster more hate that will lead to even more deaths ... the hatred against Israel is THE cause for that loss of life so imo its time to wake up and quit smelling the stupidity.... start a war ... your family dies ... dont blame anyone but yourself ... and quit whining about it already....

I, for one, do not see Muslim childrens' lives as less worthy than any other child's life. As a Christian, I must also stand in defense of the Israeli Defense Force because the IDF does NEVER target civilians. I believe the Muslim fighters, who use their women and children as human shields, are those who could be counted as guilty of devaluing the lives of Muslim children. Because their hatred for Israel is more powerful than their love for their children. And while I hear so many decrying the deaths of Muslim civilians by the IDF's efforts to hunt down actual terrorist organizations, I NEVER hear Muslims decrying the deaths of Israeli children, women, elderly people and other civilians AT ANY TIME when they ARE deliberately targeted by the terrorists.Have you ever seen Israelis or Americans dancing in the streets when a Muslim is killed? I haven't. But I have seen time and time again in the Arab world this sort of 'celebration' going on when an Israeli or an American is killed.

One of the reasons that the Muslim terrorists target Israeli civilians is in an effort to provoke Israel to defend herself. And when she does defend herself, as she has a right to, the TERRORISTS AGAIN EMBED THEMSELVES AMONGST THEIR OWN CIVILIANS IN ORDER TO PERPETUATE THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE AND TO MUSTER SYMPATHY FOR THEIR OWN, AND HATRED FOR ISRAEL.

There are those of us who know the history, and who look at the FACTS, as well as who hear the outrageous agendas of the Arab world to annihilate Israel as their primary goal. We do not lose our respect for Israel. In fact, in my particular case, I only increase in my respect for Israel. The enemies of Israel, most of whom are Muslim Arabs, spend their lives and resources to DESTROY. Far better for them if they would expend as much energy on BUILDING lives for themselves and their children. We have a saying here in America: "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." And yet that is what I see in much of the Muslim Arab world. Wasted lives, or should I say 'existences' hellbent on destroying Israel. This can be classified only as INSANITY

Jesus Christ said, "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." The Arab world is not only quick to throw stones, at even the innocent young, but the FIRST to do so. And yet they never take accountabliity for their own atrocities which, by far, exceed those that can be attributed to anyone else.

God has not, does not, and will not honor unjust balances. But that's MY God, and the God of Israel. The Muslim god tells the Muslim to kill the Jews and Christians. And for that reason, their will never be lasting peace in the Middle East.

You asked for sincere answers. This one is mine. And I've only just begun.........
