Yeah but it is better to find people with similarities. I have found that out. I don't mean like sports or TV shows or silly things. I mean the more important things. I once recently heard from some research person on TV, that opposite things are like negatives in a relationship. If you think about that, it kinda makes sense. I have found this to be so true. See for yourself--date people and you decide what works best for you in a long term commitment. I know that all people are different, so I guess it is just ultimately up to the couple no matter what others think or the statistics. :)

Opposites don't really attract. They may spark a for a short time, but when personalities don't mesh, the relationship begins to go down hill because one or the other or both will feel misunderstood. Like personalities do attract. What better way to spend your life than with someone who sees the world much like you do, enjoys the same kind of fun, or understands your quirks because they understand you?
Most people are attracted to beauty, brains, and kindness because it is our nature to pair ourselves with the top of chain.. (i.e., the girl monkey wants the biggest, strongest, loudest boy monkey). You will find, however, that what you perceive as being beautiful now will change, given attitude, manners, and above all, compatibility.

well i think that most shallow people would look for someone beautiful but the other ones are fine, but yeah ugly stupid unsignificant people wouldn't want antother one of themselves to deal with, but i dont think a beautiful intelligent kind sugnificant other would look for an *** hole, but i dont think opposites attract maybe with metal but not with people because if one of u is an atheist and one of u is a catholic they probably wouldnt want to be togeather sort of like a straight person and a gay person.

Are you saying that the person searching is none of those things, well it does happen alot, you see very attractive women with short bald fat men and vice versa, I think me and my husband are on about the same level though, I might be a little better than him! lol!

i really dont think opposite attracts. somehow, we do set standards for choosing the person to be with especially in a relationship. and most of the time, he or she should be at least, on our level (intellectually or physically).

umm well alot of people usually think they have fallen for a person...when they always get along which is true in alot of cases. but people mostly don't ever belive they will be with someone who is total opposite of themselves. but when they just happen to fall in luv with the person they learn they luv them bcuz they are opposite. so i just confused myself in that answer some how but i hope you understood. my straight answer to you is yes i think so. i like guys that are totally opposite of me. so i hope i helped answer your question.
