When we started the war in Iraq, far too many people were behind it. Remember the outrage over the Dixie Chicks speaking out against the Pres.? We (well not me, but most Americans) were gung-ho. They were all proud to be Americans and bring it on.
The first gulf war, which I opposed, had the same bout of patriotism.
I hope, when we finally bring our troops home, we treat them with respect and dignity and give them all the support and help they will need to adjust.
Oh, I was in favor of America's attempt to dismantle the Taliban in Afghanistan. I think we should have finished that job before we started another war.
