In addition to most of the above:
water shoes(so you don't get Athletes Feet from the shower)
little bottled waters
a desk lamp
paper towels
a collapsible hamper for your laundry
don't forget the detergent!

If you are going to college take the following: Your self, your books, any supplies you think you are going to need (pens, #2 pencils, ruler, compass, calculator, and pocket change), and a calendar.
Leave at home the following: Credit Cards, Debit cards, car (unless living off campus), money of most sorts (since most colleges have a meal plan and you can stay within the meal plan by paying for it monthly), and your cell phone. You can get a calling card from any Post Office and call home for emergencies, but other than that leave the phone at home.

Just got out of college so here goes:
1) iPod (for time before and after class)
2) food (vending machines are expensive)
3) phone (can send texts in class if sly)
4) sense of humor (cause it's a lot more fun than high school)
5) lots of pens and paper, you're gonna need it

1.) lots of snacks (u know, stuff u can carry w/u during the day)
2.) Laptop
3.) Plenty of notebooks(spiral) / paper and writing utencils
4.) A cell
5.) Water bottles
6.) coffee maker (if you drink it) and grounds

1. Make a relaxed schedule for yourself the first semester so you can adjust to your new life!
2. Food you can make in your dorm!
3. Doubles of alot of your favorite things because they might get stolen...lol
