My new kitten has used the litter tray several times, but only crapped in it. He has NEVER urinated in his litter tray. Why?

This quesion would be best to consult a vetrinarian. However, in the past i have had about a dozen cats and it may be because they dont like the litterbox enough. Some creatures are just like that. Also, he may have a bladder infection or some other kind of urinary tract problems. Definately ask a vetrinarian, it could be a serious problem.

If he's still a kitten, maybe the box is too big and he's afraid of it. Try a smaller box, without a lid. I always used disposable aluminum pie or cake tins for kittens. Hopefully, he's not going all over your house.

purina recommends placing him in litter tray after meals & playing. he could be just like a child- you no how you have to remind them to use the bathroom? this could b the same thing

While, unless you are finding smelly cat pee spots around your house, don't worry about it. He may be peeing and you're just not noticing. Make sure you get rid of the smell if he is peeing in other places - otherwise he'll keep doing it.
