Well, I just saw something on the news today that Denmark has the happiest people in the world. Their schools and medical treatment is for everyone, not just the rich. They get 5-6 weeks of vacation a year and work shorter work weeks than we do. They have less crime and more individual freedom. Sounds like something is working well there.

Used to be the United States, but we are hooked on foreign oil, being jerked around by superstitious religious bigots and too deeply in debt (read Kevin Phillips "American Theocracy" to see how much trouble we are really in). America's great days are past and we are in for a century of stasis or shrinkage as a nation. The willingness of the American people to continue an administration that tortures and detains civilians for years means this is now a country of filthy swine for the most part. There's no way of excusing our prideful, lying barbarity as a nation.
So take a look at the other countries in the "Anglosphere" -- Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. One should suit your fancy. "Take a long hard look at Toronto, Ontario, and Vancouver, British Columbia."
If you have a lot of money and want to make even more money, then the best place is the city of the bankers of the world --Tokyo, Japan.
If you are a burning intellecutal and read at least a book a week, then you belong in a city where there are fascinating lectures every night and great private societies to pursue intellectual interests --London, England.

First of all, best at what? You don't believe there's a best person in the world do you? How can a country be better than all others at everything? Bad question..
Secondly, why the hell is this posted in Religion and Spirituality? Shouldn't your question be what is the best theocracy in the world?

I'm a patriotic American looking for ways to improve my country, not bash it and whine about its faults. So from what I've seen I'd incorporate many ideas from France.

One that lets us be free, have the right to chose, has equality, freedom of religion ect. It used to be USA until we thought we needed to get into other countrys businesses, i.e starting wars with no just cause. Personally I think maybe England or France.

To me it's Ireland. I dream of living there, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't go there if you paid them. It's different for every person.

We are all equal, period. One will always have better aspects than another, and one will always have worse than another. There is no best, we are all one.
