Carrying a dog around like that all the time causes the dog to become quite unsocialized. They may see places and go everywhere, but keeping it in a bag all the time and babying the dog, coddling it, doesn't allow the dog to have the necessary interaction with other people it needs to be a well adjusted, mentally stable dog. These are the little dogs who have a nasty attitude and tend to be biters.

Your dog is your best friend, part of the family, not an accessory like a pair of shoes or an Ipod or a purse! Dogs are meant to walk on the ground. I have seen dogs in strollers made for them, some for the reason that the dogs are very old and can't move around any more, but needs to get out. You see, that is one thing.
Another is when it is really cold outside. When you have small dogs or hairless ones, it is nice that they have coats for dogs so they do not freeze to death or catch a cold and get sick.
These are good examples. But, walking around with your dog in a f@cking purse is sad!

Actually, I think it is kind of cute, as long as the carryee knows that little dogs are not actually accessories and require training, exercise, etc. One things for sure: those dogs get to spend lots of time with their owners! Right now, I have a German Shepherd, but I might be acquiring a teenie little dog from it's owner, and I have silly visions of me walking my big dog, with the little dog sticking out of my oversize purse. Silly, isn't it!

Well... I'm definetly a cat person. I hate little dogs. But in a way it's understandable. So, I guess I can't say. I just hate it when people are all cooey and cuddly with their dogs as if they're grandparents with their baby grandkid. I think little dogs would have been better off born cats.

TOTALLY LAME!!! COme on people, these are real live dogs, not plushies. Doing crap like that to your dog (carrying it around in a purse, dressing it in clothes, etc) can seriously screw it up psycologicaly. It becomes confused as to what its instincts tell it to do and what you want from it. People who treat their dogs like kids, need to have kids.

Yes, poor dogs need to exercise. Dogs are living things, not accessory items.

Yes, it is. I love dogs, but you have to draw the line at treating them as an accessory.

well, i think that putting them in little costumes and clothes is kinda cruel because it is extremly uncomfortable for them... if you ever see pictures of dogs in clolthes, they look EXTREMLY uncomfortable and unhappy... i mean paris hilton takes her dog everywhere and i think people are getting tired of it. yes i love to take my dog camping and everything but i think there are some places dogs don't belong. also if you go inside a building and you can't take your dog i would hate to leave them outside incase someone took them or something else happened dogs also need exercise and think wouldn't you hate to be cooped up inside a tiny tiny room all day?!?!?!?!
hope this helps

It's kind of 5 minutes ago if you're doing it for a fashion statement, but if it's because you just love your little "poopsie" and dont want to be apart from them, it's not lame at all. : )

Yes, quite lame.
And the poor Labrador retriever won't be able to show his face in public again after such treatment.
