After taking Klonopin, has anyone noticed any problems with their speech?

I've been on Klonopin for five years - some of its side effects are speech slurring, tingling sensations in the extremities, and a whole list of others - the best read out on it is at medlineplus.gov - it is a narcotic and you do not want to go off Klonopin or it's generic Clonazepam with out the Weaning Kit -however, I've tried other medications for the same problems, and have found it to be the least intrusive for me - but we are each chemically balanced different, especially if we are taking other medications, so you might consider evaluating all your meds and see if you have some that are overlapping in their side effects and then work with your dr. My med therapy theory is - the least amount of meds with the maximum amount of benefits - especially since many meds have more than one purpose.

I take it daily, it's a sedative so yea, it may effect all motor neurons. Try grinding it up and snorting it. It has a nice minty flavor and it works much faster that way and give you a nice dreamy buzz.

Yes, it creates physical tics and slurs in your speech. PLEASE, please find a second opinion about your mental health. Klonopin is NOT a drug to stay on for very long...the side effects are horrible and can possibly kill you without you giving a hoot.

I also take it daily, and have noticed these side effects...It does help my tremors, though...It does seem the more you take the bigger the side effect...I wish you luck for whatever your problem is...

yes that stuff makes you retarded. i took it for fun once when i was 15 and it did all kinds of messed up things to me.
