Some Christians threaten with hell, ohter Christians say that a Christian doesn't threaten with hell. Some Chrisians use insult when they do not like a question, other Christians say that those who insult are not true Christians. Even at the same question, Christians are giving contradictory (among themselves) answers. It looks like a chicken without a head, you don't know what's the next move. God "speak" to one Christian to give an answer, the same god "speak" to another Christian to give a contradictory answer. It looks like a mental institution... BUT every Christian wants to convert... Convert to what? To mental delusion?
However Christians, I am your best friend, just WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!

Hello friend,
I can always use another best friend.
You have made a decent point. Now if you will, allow me to attempt to make mine.
Christians are not flawless. But our God is. In this world, everyone is not at the same spiritual level and you are likely to find many many answers based on the level of understanding a person has.

This may help explain the variety of differences you see. Keep in mind, alot of humans are very opinionated and like to strongly express those opinions... possibly like yourself...or me.

Main point, if you rely on others exclusively to give you or to get for you answers concerning God, you will always come up short.

But if you include some personal time with God Himself with an open Bible and a sincere heart, you may just be surprised what He has to say to you.

Blessings,
2 Tim. 2:7

An excellent point, well put, and a good observation!
The problem I see with many well intended Christians is that, many are young or fairly new to Christianity. Most have not read the bible themselves yet, from cover to cover. They are still being spoon-fed from the pulpit. It is a situation similar to the teenager who now thinks they know more than the parent. They believe and speak as if they know the way, and have all the answers, when they have only just begun their own journey. They want to change the world....and "MAKE" them SEE! Further down the road of life ( if they do not stray themselves) when they have studied and observed more, and have more depth, they will realize that it is an individuals inward "CHOICE"....when and if they are READY to change,......and THEY choose! ....and not something that can be externaly changed by somone else trying to shove beliefs down their throat.

Christians just act mad or upset or w/e because they don't know how to answer the question. They feel intimidated by it and either decide not to answer or put others down. They try to level off, when they feel intimidated they intimidate you. But the thing is, everybody does that. Not just Christians, or buddhists, or muslims or atheist just about everybody.

A lot aren't educated in Christianity and just decide to get saved and dive no further. Being a Christian is to put nothing before God and to live only for God. Which basically means try to be like God. Although no one could ever be as perfect as God doing good deeds and bringing others to Christ will bring rewards in Heaven.

Don't discriminate against them, just know that even though they might be saved they might not be educated in it which is a very sad thing. I don't know if it matters but just so you know I'm a Christian.

The Character of a Godly Man

Psalm 1:1-3 Ref.

Christian men willing to answer the Lord’s call to live godly lives in an unrighteous world. A man with this mindset will understand the importance of:

Ordering his life with Christian counsel. A God-fearing man is not too self-sufficient or proud to ask for help. He seeks biblical counsel regularly so that he can succeed according to God’s principles. He is open to advice based on scriptural truths, whether for his home life, personal finances, or business matters. Many of us, however, are prone to seek opinions from those who appear successful, even if they do not share our faith. How wise can ungodly men be when they have chosen to live without God? How smart are we when we seek their advice?
Limiting his deepest friendships to fellow believers. Only the like-minded — those who love Jesus and desire to follow Him — are suitable to be intimate friends of a believer. Remember, our companions can influence us positively or negatively. Those who reject Jesus will never guide us toward Him. Those who are casual in their faith can influence us away from God’s standards. While the Lord expects us to relate to all sorts of people, it is wise to restrict our “inner circle” to Christ-followers.
Being committed to defending the truth. Concerned with the things of the Lord and His church, a godly man will TAKE A STAND against the profane use of Jesus’ name. No only will he speak the truth about unrighteous patterns of behavior and their destructiveness; he will also oppose ridicule of the Bible or other Christians. Ref. Psalms 1;3 Jer 17:8 14:1 12: 1-2

Men, the Lord calls you to godliness. What will you say?

Whether one person's belief is christian, jewish, muslim, or athiest based, we are all humans. As humans we have both positive and negative attributes.

What is a Christian? Someone who believes that Jesus is the Son Of God, and through Him our sins are forgiven and we are given everlasting life. Does this mean we are sinless- no.

What is Christian behavior? Being Christ-like. This has come up to many interpretations, but according to the teachings of the new testatment, it is one who gives selflessly, who stands against wrongdoing. It is one who loves his fellow man unconditionally and is willing to sacrifice himself for another.

Just because one soul surrendered his/her life to believe in salvation does not mean they have all the answers. If you are unsure what a true Christian is, then ask a clergyman, a preacher or any leader in the faith- or you can go directly to the source. Read the new testament and interpret for yourself.

What is a "True Christian"? Someone of pure faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Is it behavior? No. Behavior comes only after faith. If you truly devote yourself to Christ, then you learn to behave in a Christ-like manner out of love of God, not the other way around.
Best wishes in finding your spiritual answers.

It is this site and trying to spread the word that is hard on this site. I doubt you would know the truth if God himself told you. It is people like you we try to reach. God says to sow the seed, so consider yourself sown. As for mental institutions, I imagine you would be the expert. I can use all the friends I can get. I just don't want to be friends with the devil.

As behavior, what is a true Christian?
One who walks as close to the steps of their Lord. But remember WE are mere humans so expect some failures amongst us. Don't judge Christ by his followers, but look into the Man Himself - Christ.

Christians are still human, and therefore have human weaknesses. We're just obligated to try harder than other people.

All I know is that the good folks at Landover Baptist Church (http://www.landoverbaptist.org) have the copywright on the phrase "True Christian", so they must know what they're talking about.
