Oh, and I'm anxious to see somebody kill 10, hell even 1 person, and use the "in the name of God" defense. I'm sure that will go over big.

Of course. Just look up the definition for murder and killing in the dictionary. When they use that defense, they are just trying to justify it.

Killing and murder are not necessarily the same thing. God tells His people to submit to their local governments in the Bible -- He has implemented governments with armies to rule over us in this world. Murder is the taking of an innocent life -- it's killing for selfish gain, and it is not the same as what happens between soldiers during a war. Murder is always wrong, but killing is not always worg.

Seeing as how in my opinion there is no god to sanction anything, then self-evidently yes. 'Killing in the name of God' is still killing.

It's a pity that their consciousness doesn't survive even a second after they die so that they can see that they were doing it all based on a false promise...

God does not sanction murder. Man does that. Man has distorted the so-called "word of God" to be something obscene.

He works in mysterious ways. What a kidder that god. He leads by example. What a guy, I can't think of a better guy to spend eternity with. Lets all be closer to god. Even if he wiped out the earth a few times, we all have our moments.

Let me put it this way-God is the judge-if he sanctions a kill-it is sanctioned.

well God is the one doing the killing as is he the one being killed. when god is all there is no negativity, only that which we choose to define as negative.
