Does anyone know of an animal shelter in Michigan that will accept help from volunteers under 18 years old, because so far the only ones i have found you have to be 18 or have your parents stay with you while you are volunteering...

One thing to try may be some of the smaller organizations. For example, a rescue that might work through a store like PetSmart might love your help to clean cages or socialize the cats. A store manager could sign your volunteer log, if that is necessary. Contact the rescues that work in the stores near you for more information.

unfortunately you have to be 18 with all of the things that are there its not the animals they are worried about you being with ...medicines and machines are the main purpose for that rule...if its important to you explain it to your parents and encourace them to help out :)

try the aspca animal shelter there, they need all the help they can get.
