no. self confidence is not about outer appearance. it is about self-acceptance. learn to love yourself regardless of what you 'look' like.

Weight could be a factor. The idea you are to be ashamed of your weight. Even the idea of your self confidence to do something starts with your appearance in other areas. I do not let it stop me. I just know who I am and what I stand for and where I come from. Never do anything you cant look yourself in the eye for afterwards. You will be fine. You have confidence when you write this question. Capital I and the word confidence. You KNOW. I am Black and WE as a people have to step it up a bit.
It doesn't matter if you are fat. I ate a lot of good food and it shows and I am not starving and I am proud of my weight. I try to dress it up to be properly clean and covered. If anyone does not like it they can close their eyes. Until you start buying my food or my clothes look out world this is ME. Deal with it! You take sides a bit of tradition and culture and family. You can make it or fake it. U just be you. Love everyone. Forgive as much as you can the side comments hurt but carry on. LIVE

No it's not bc/ of your weight, it's called low self esteem & they have support groups all over to help you. Call the hospitals & mental health organizations in your area. Richard Carlson Ph.D. has authored several books that i have reccommended to many people. "you Can Feel Good Again" is a short paperback that is very helpful. "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff" is another. Shad Helmstetter, "The Self Talk Solution" is another good Book. Reading & writing things that you're good at, or what you or other people see in you that are good is helpful. Seeing a therapist is also very helpful, that's the fastest way to change your views, & if you feel that the thrapist you choose is not compatible find another one, just like getting a second opinion. Good Luck. God Bless you. Spirituality helps also.

It's because you don't believe you can do things. Try trusting yourself more.
Try this: Make a list of all the stuff you're good at and keep it around for you to see. It'll help keep you focused on what's good about you...NOT what's "wrong."
Your weight won't matter to you as a self-confidence issue if you believe that you are a worthy person who deserves a spot in this world.

Self confidence come from within. I suggest that you go back to school if you are already out and learn how to spell and write a proper sentence. Also public speaking groups such as Toastmasters work wonders with self confidence. You are wonderful just the way you are...

don't know. are you an extreme weight, high or low? if so, that could contribute to lack of self confidence. but many many things also contribute to ones self-confidence or lack of, including environment (home life) and maybe even genetics. try to build confidence by taking small steps to be more positive. take a class in something that interests you. read. good luck.

Many people lack confidence because they are not happy with their bodies. Learn to love your self no matter what you look like. Never diet to fiind a lover, diet for medical reasons so you live longer.
