since i was young, i've always had a stuffy nose. I can only breathe through one nostrilbecause i had surgery on the other. Sometimes, random times during the day, my breathable nostril becomes stuffed and it's kinda annoying because now both nostrils are useless.. I get it anytime, everyday, and i dont think it's allergies because it's chronic.

Some patterns i noticed:
1. my nose is stuffed for usually 2 hours after i wake up.. then it clears. then later during the day it becomes stuffed again.
2. when i sleep less, i THINK it becomes more stuffed. I don't really know for sure though.
3. everything else is pretty much random

any help?

You had surgery on your nose, and one nostril is blocked? It sounds like you have a deviated septum, and a chronic sinus problem. Go to an ENT and have him put the scope up there and see what's up. I had mine fixed and my sinus' cleaned out (I get polyps). It is MUCH better now!

Do you smoke, or live with anyone who does? Cigarette smoke can cause inflamed sinuses.

You might also want to get a sinus x-ray done. There might be a blockage somewhere that surgery can fix. A lot of people get sinus surgery done.

Do you also get a lot of headaches? Feel off balance from time to time?

Ask your doctor to take some tests. It sounds like chronic sinusitis to me. I have chronic sinusitis, and my symptoms are similar, and I have been officially diagnosed with it. there are some medicines to treat that, but sadly you will have to live with that for a long time.
