You shouldn't take them out yourself. Go to the doctor who put them in or go to an express care place.

firstly, make sure u take them out only after at least 5 days.
Now, if they are dissolving stitches its easier, cos u just have to cut the knot and the rest just dissoleves.
If they are NOT dissolvable, then here's how:
pull on the knot with tweezers, Then, cut under the knot, but ONLY cut one end. If u cut both the bits under the knot u will leave some thread inside ur lip!! Good luck!

You shouldn't take them out your self get a doctor to do it, some people usually allow the stiches to just fall out too, but trying a doctor is better.

If the stitches were made to be removed, it should not be difficult. If they were made to be absorbed by the body, you will have to wait, although you can clip the thread close to the skin. Cut through the loops above the skin with a small scissors. You can try to pull them out to see if they will come out, using tweezers. It should not hurt. You can apply ice or something with menthol to numb the skin if you are afraid it will hurt.

this is not going to be easy..
bad place to have to remove them on your own..
you need to soak the stitches, somehow in warm water for about 10 minutes..this will soften them up..
them carefully snip them under the knot, using medical scissors or a small pair of clean nail clipper...
( I prefer using the nail clippers)..
then pull gently..they should come right out..you might experience some slight bleeding, but nothing to worry about...

Don't take out those stitches! Go to your doctor...that scares me when people do that, like my sister's husband took her braces off. Now for financial reasons, if you really really have to take them off, get you a stiff drink or some ibuprofen (over the counter) or something to numb it and then try to take them out. I wish you luck, you got me so nervous..be sure to write back and let me know how your doing...poor baby!

It doesn't hurt to remove the sutures, but you need little small flat scissors and tweezers.. since you probably don't have the correct scissors let the doctor do it.

Generally, you do not take stitches out yourself. Either they dissolve on their own or you return to your care provider to have them removed. Self-removal can lead to infection or possibly reopening of the wound if it has not healed completely.
