None. All of the world's religions teach that they and they alone are the truth and all other religions are lies and heresies. Doesn't matter which religions you are talking about.

Tolerance isn't a strong suit of religion, nor should it be. Tolerance assumes there are things that are different that must be accepted. In that respect Christianity, in the forms found in the United States, has tolerated the incorperation of every religion and belief system in the world, and has developed more branches and types of Christianity that you could count. That's tolerance.
If you mean, do they tolerate things that are wrong by their standards, that's a fairly silly question. That's like asking a policeman to be tolerant of crime, or a fireman to be tolerant of fires, or a teacher to be tolerant of ignorance.

It would be foolish to expect tolerance of religion toward things that are detailed as "wrong" in their belief system. At the same time, the religion that is most tolerant of others is clearly Christianity, despite being intolerant of certain behaviors WITHIN their ranks.

It surprises me that the tolerance question is usually brought up by people who expect Christianity to change. Tolerance seems to go one way with such people.

I am not a Christian, not even religious. Just a student of all religions and belief systems, science, logic, philosophy.

Tolerance is the sign of own strength. A strong faith only can be tolerant to others. In that Protestants are more tolerant than other groups (not religions) Islam is the weakest of all religions. This is the reason Islam does not allow religious freedom in several Islamic countries. If the country in which they live allows religious freedom they resist it through group strength.

Islam and Catholicism are the least tolerant of the three ,I think with Islam just edging ahead of Catholicism ,with Protestantism being most tolerant in doctrine.
However in practise ???? LOL.
For proof of how intolerant Papists are research the Inquisition.
For how intoloerant Islam is read up on Saladin and later invasions where people who wouldn`t convert were systematically slaughtered.
As for Protestantism ?Look up Salem Massachusetts ,and other instances of Witch trials.

First off I am a Christian and my answer will probably shock you but regret ably none of the religions are tolerant of the other. Christianity believes in their way is the only way. Judaism, and Islam too believes their way is right the only thing Christians and Jews agree on is there is one God. but we disagree with Jesus being the son of God. the Islamic do not be live Jesus was the son of God neither do the Jews but the writing on the Mosque at the Dome of the Rock says there is no God only Allah. I believe we should be tolerant of each other and not trash their beliefs if we want to win them over.

i could say Hinduism or Buddhism. i will talk greater for Hinduism because i'm Hindu. Hindus have not have been given any penalty for apostasy, and those wishing to return to Hinduism are welcomed. Hindus comprehend all faiths, that's evidenced by the actuality that India has maximum of religions and little or no inner conflict. Hindus have self assurance strongly interior the concept of nonviolence and in karma, the two considered one of which might make a contribution strongly to human beings appearing greater advantageous. an mind-blowing form of the failings i discussed for Hinduism could additionally persist with to Buddhism. basically, all religions are meant to be tolerant and non violent, yet each and every so often there's a organic force to unfold the religion and for some, meaning putting down different faiths in want of their very own (a minimum of that's what i could wager). this does not persist with to all components of faiths that are time-honored for energetic proselytizing, in basic terms some. No faith preaches violence, that is going against straightforward ethical fiber, yet an mind-blowing form of lack of know-how, misinterpretation, and verbal replace finally ends up interior the non secular conflicts all of us comprehend at present.

First of all, Catholicism and Protestantism are both the same religion. They are both branches of the Christian Faith.

There are not 3 religions in the world more like a dozen:
Christianity, Islam, Juadism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Jainism, Rastafarian, Baha'i, Buddhism, Shinto, and one more I cant quiet remember, but begins with Zoro

Of all Religions, I think 2 in particular stand out as peaceful

I think Baha'i Faith as it is about Unity itself, regardless of belief, religon or man. Buddhism is about understanding and acceptance. Living a good life for living, and for peace.

Interesting on how neither of these religions rely on the concept of a God or Gods'. They are purely about living in harmony etc.

Though as a muslim my opinion is probably biased, I have been muslim now for 11years and was christian before that.... I feel that I am more tolerant of other religions now then I was when I was christian. I feel everyone has the right to worship the way they want as long as they are not impossing their belifs on others. (which is why you wont see muslism knocking on peoples doors) I have learned much more my responsablities to my family and how I must be tolerant with them and my neighbors and their rights on me etc... again a biased opinion, but that has been my experience.
you can always read the life of the prophet Muhammed sallahu alahi wa salam and see if you thought him to be a tolerant man.
try islamway.com or islamicity they are pretty good
pray that helps

Hinduism the best, Islam the worst.
The late historian Itzhak Ben-Zvi, said "... the extermination of the two Arabian-Jewish tribes by the mass massacre of their men, women and children, was a tragedy for which no parallel can be found in Jewish history until our own day [century]...." The slaughter of Arabian Jews and the expropriation of their property became Allah's will. This became framed as policy in the the Qur'an, "... some you slew and others you took captive. He [Allah] made you masters of their [the Jews'] land, their houses and their goods, and of yet another land [Khaibar] on which you had never set foot before. Truly, Allah has power over all things." Surah 33, v. 26-32, Dawood translation.

Catholics and protestants are both Christians along with a load of other sects and Christian groupings - they have been at one anothers throats for centuries, as well as trying to stop us using contraception, forcing us to believe all sorts of wierd unworldy doctrines like the Immaculate conception or that Jesus was the Son of God, or that we will go to hell if we don't believe this stuff. Even worse they have been known to torture, burn drown anyone who didn't believe there particular brand of GOODNESS! The Christian religion has traditionally been heavily misogynistic and plays and has played a huge role in denying women their rights...oh and then there is homophobia - oh why go on. All of this pretty much rules them out in the tolerance stakes

Muslims invented concepts like Jihad and want to convert us all to their One God Allah. They too have split into sects and think nothing of blowing one another to bits over important issues like who was the true successor to a man that told them that God had spoken with him and given him a divine mission (sound familiar?). Many top Muslim big cheeses or Imams are pretty hot on pontificating against womens rights and are not averse to a good stoning or beheading if they feel that the woman has been 'bad' - for example by commiting adultery (see Christians) so that pretty much rules them out in the tolerance stakes.

Jews believe they are the chosen people and that somehow they were promised a chunk of land by THEIR one God and this means they can oppress and bomb the hell out of anyone and anything that gets in their way. The religion has played a huge part in the oppression of women, homosexuals....hang on this sounds familiar. Result - nil points in the tolerance stakes

Hinduism is pretty tolerant, but Hindus have been known to tolerantly kill their Muslim neighbours in India. So that rules them out.

So we come to Buddhism, they don't believe in a God at all. The emphasis is placed on your own efforts to live a moral life that does not harm others and at the same time to practice meditation so as to lose your ego and realise your true -self, your oneness with everything. I can't think of a single Buddhist terrorist group (although I may be wrong!) Women and men can both attain enlightenment and women 'priests' have never been taboo, as far as I know (again I could be wrong).

Therefore I vote for Buddhism, long may it continue and flourish!

Catholicism is the most tolerant. They accommodate all kinds of regional religious practices in order to proselytize indigenous people to Catholicism.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV

So I'd have to say Christianity is the least tolerant of aberrant practices and beliefs since there is only one way, and one truth.

All else is error.
