whats the best way to get over jet lag quickly? just got in from Hong Kong this morning. can never sleep on the planes, any tips?

yeah sleep as much as you can and try to reverse your body clock

You know what this happened to me alot when i would travel to Nigeria from Michigan and u just have to give it time to adjust to the time change because i'm sure hong kong has a different time zone than any part of the US that u live in.

set your watch/clocks to hong kong time and live in that time zome, changing the watch a bit at a time until it is in the time zone you are in. But, you should have set your watch for where you were going two days before leaving hong kong (just info for future reference)

nope sorry and i can never sleep on airplanes i think i did for the first time last week but i flew to london from atlanta and are flight left at like five and i didnt sleep on the flight so when i got to london it was mourning and i was so tired that day was waisted because i fell asleep and then couldnt get to sleep that night oh well

Once you arrive at your destination stay awake until you can get 8-10 hours of sleep prior to the time you want to wake up.

Most flight attendant use sleeping pills.As for some other like myself I've gotten used to it.Try to accustom yourself to your destination time before going there.

Drink lots of water
Take a brief nap and
Eat small meals with protein (low sugar and salt)

Your body needs to recharge itself, and eating cleanly will max your energy and you feel great !

I'm shattered too and I only had a 4 hour flight! I had a curry and a beer.

I've heard melatonin helps. But never tried it myself - best to ask your doc.

I think you must complete your minimum sleep hours and you would be all right.
