Bad breath (halitosis) can be caused by bacterial growth. The majority of bacteria in your mouth live on your tongue. So, as many have said, brushing your tongue can help.
However, there are many medical conditions that can also cause bad breath (like sinus problems and digestive problems).
If you're brushing your teeth and tongue regularly, and are still having bad breath (halitosis), I suggest you see your doctor for an evaluation.

Yes it does but apart from that simple salt water gargling is perfect solution as most of toothpaste contain dangerous amount of sugar and fluoride. So instead of doing brush 2 times or 3 times In a day just brush in the morning and later gargle with little hot SALT water as many times u want u will never have cavity problem or bad breath. Also clean bowels is very important if your stomach remains upset than your bad breath can not improve try what may no advantage. So it fresh fruit, drink fresh juice it banana for regular bowels movement and you are fine.

This is funny, I asked this question so many years ago, because I had a roommate who is also a good friend, I think she also often brush her teeth but she still has bad breath. But anyway I cannot stand it anymore, so I told her straight and ask her if she had some bad or broken teeth which she said she does and her gums bleeds at times too. It was long time ago, and we live separate lives now, funny thing someone still answers this questions so it pop up on my email.

Yes, although brushing with toothpaste isn't necessary that helps as it fights off mouth nasties and gives you minty-fresh breath, flossing, mouthwash and either a tongue scraper or bush are good too – actually the latter being the best, makes a huge difference.

Actually, brushing the back of your tongue is what helps fight bad breath - that's where the scary stuff accumulates. Then finish off with mouthwash to kill germs and prevent bad breath.

Yes it does, but flossing is as important to eliminate the plaque between your teeth where gum disease and cavities usually start. Mouthwash is good but use something without alcohol. Listerine and Scope have to much in them. They tend to dry to out your mouth. Your tongue is the part of your mouth where most plaque accumulates so try to brush it frequently, but don't overdo it, you can hurt yourself. The best treatment is prevention. Visit your dentist every 6 months.

do no longer drink listerine, like a number of different answer reported. there is no thank you to avert morning breath, different than brushing suitable once you awaken. Morning breath is led to out of your mouth being dry at evening, because of fact your physique does not would desire to offer as lots saliva once you're dozing. while your mouth is dry all evening, there is no saliva to bathe away the bacteria on your tooth, meaning it multiplies and stinks once you awaken. as long as you sweep particularly solid in the previous mattress and once you awaken, it won't be a controversy.

Yes brushing will help, but you need all round oral hygene. Flossing your teeth, and using mouthwash should also help. Cleaning your tounge with a tounge scraper or tea spoon will also help, there is alot of bacteria on your tounge. If you are concerned about it carry some mints with you through the day.

Not completely. You should also use a tongue scraper, Lysterine mouthwash and most importantly FLOSS! If you dont floss you will leave food particles inbetween your teeth wich will putrify and give you very bad breat regardless of how much you brush.
