Take it out.Even if you don't believe in god you should have morals and do the right thing and respect the people that are coming in after you who might be religious and want to use the hotel bible.

:-) This is a funny question, but I think it has a deeper meaning.
Apparently the hypothetical Bible in the trash can has some meaning for you, even if you are joking about it.
I think that at some level this matters to you, and you are asking a figurative question not a literal one.
Why don't you envision yourself pulling it out of the trash can, and think about what that might mean for you? Would it mean accepting or rejecting a belief of one or both of your parents? Would it mean helping you decide an answer to a question? Would it mean returning to a place where you once were? Or going to a place you have never been before? Would it mean finding answers, or would it mean finding new questions?
Just some thoughts!

I don’t know… anyone that would want to read the bible while in a hotel would probably bring their own, right?
I would say take it out, it might entertain you while your drunk off your ****… reading about people building arcs, the people trying to reach heaven buy building a tower, then “God” made it so they couldn’t understand each other.
Besides, I’d take it out, you probably don’t need any bad karma, do you.

Let housekeeping take care of it. The Gideons will be back to replace it shortly.
Actually, the last couple hotels I stayed in didn't have Bibles at all!

It does not belong to you, put it back. If you have no desire to read it, fine. But do not take away the oppertunity for someone else that may want to. Have a nice day!

Gently take it out of the trash, wipe it off, place it back in the drawer where it came from with thoughtfulness and valor. I hope you are not as dumb as you sound.
