my bf and I have been going out for over half a year now and we're 16 and 17. I realized recently that he spends a lot of money on me. His family is kind of rich from what I hear but his older brother always asks him for money. Everytime we go out somewhere, movies or dinner or anything, he's the one who pays for everyyything. We both don't work and his money comes from his parents. It's not that I don't want to pay sometimes but my parents don't really give me any allowance. I am wondering if it's wrong of me to let him spend money on me, especially when it's actually his parents' money.

The thought came to mind that he was selling drugs, but maybe his brother just asks him for money because he can't keep within a budget. They both probably get an allowance. You shouldn't feel bad about letting him pay for everything. If he didn't then you both would probably end up doing nothing. -Just sitting around at the park. He might not particularly want to do that and enjoys spending money on you obviously, so let him.

I read an answer saying "what can it hurt". It could eventually get to the stage where you feel like you owe him something. Yes, I've bought plenty of things for my girlfriends in the past but none of them have ever let me pay for everything. They've taken pride in being able to earn their own cash and treat me now and then, even though I actually prefer to pay. Y'might also end up being too dependent on this dude, and he's gonna be too dependent on his parents. At the moment it probably won't do you much harm that he's buying you stuff, but what if you ever wanted to break up? Would there be any guilt in the fact that he's "treated" you so well, and you've broken up with him? And like would you not feel a sense of pride if you earned your own money and bought him a little somethin? And a good boyfriend'll appreciate the effort you've gone to, even if it's a small bottle of aftershave or somethin.

No it OK i;m the same way i like to spend money on others. If you want to pay and you have the money just tell him. and if he love you and you let him no that what you want to do he will let you pay. But there nothing wrong with him paying all the time.

What's wrong with it? Especially if his parents are rich and they're letting him do it. Unless he's telling them he's using the money for something else.

it doesn't mean he's selling drugs!!!!!!!!!! I think taking too much is wrong. But he obviously likes you and wants to show you..I'd help my kid only for so long..your boyfriend is old enough to get a job..you too..having a relationship with someone doesn't come easy or cheep.
