and won't stop. all want me to buy software to cure problem. downloaded spybot search & distroy. it found the problem, then wanted $39.95 to fix the problem. ewido did nothing. and adaware advised i already had it installed and it was working fine. i already had norton, microsoft defender and the yahoo at&t spy blocker installed before problem started. they did nothing to stop it. i am at my wits end. pop up every minute with warnings. even internet explorer got into the act with a warning and a sales pitch of it's own. ive got flags and warning signs poping up all over & it's driving me nuts. Any suggestions short of putting my head in the oven and turning on the gas?

Got news for you... spy bot from downloads.com still free to download, but now $34.95 if you want it to fix any problems. same has been true for all the free downloads. tell you about the problems they find, then want cash to fix it. my limited fixed income can no longer afford the costs involved at staying on line. i thank everyone for your kindness and for sharing your knowledge. i wish i could give you all best answer points. i am signing out for the last time and pulling the plug on my intrenet service. it was an expence some of us seniors on a fixed income could do without. guess it was my last window to the changing world we live in today. thank you all and god bless. good bye.
