The best friend of the last guy that I was talking to has been trying to get me to have casual sex with him. At first he acted like he was trying to be my friend but he has not called because I refused to have sex with him. When a guy is trying to be your friend is he really trying to get in your pants?

He's being honest, what's wrong with that?

But to answer your question; yes, all guys are looking for sex. Actually, we're looking for "sex and..." Guys wanting sex is a given, accept it. It's the "and" part that trips up a woman. Some guys want Sex and a relationship, or sex and no strings attached, and everything in between. Watch the movie "When Harry Met Sally" for another take on why men and women can't be friends.

As humans we are all drivin to do one thing and one thing only. Make babies! So, yes, that is what they are looking for. What sets them apart is how they go about it. Its the same for girls, actually studies have shown that we as girls have a stronger desire for sex, aka companionship and babies. lol. But you did the right thing, casual sex means nothing and in the end the only one person would have benifited from it, and that is him. Girl, you need to watch yourself. Do not be afraid of being friends with guys, it is easier then you think to sense when all they want is to get in your pants. When you say no, and they stop calling, that is usually a sign that they could care less about you above the waist.

If a guy is your friend, I guarantee you that he has already imagined what it would be like to have sex with you. Whether he does is another matter. Guys have sex on the brain. It's natural. Males are hard-wired to procreate, and so they are looking to have sex all the time. Once you understand this, you will know that their need for sex is all instinct. A guy will only be friends with a woman if he doesn't find her attractive, OR, she's already taken, OR he's struck out with her, OR he's gay.

when you try to be a guy's friend what are you after? By nature guys desire sex with attractive women. If this wasn't true there wouldn't be 6 billion people on the planet. Your job, like any animal, is to be choosy.

A lot of guys are,men will often tell a woman anything they think she wants to hear in order to have sex with her "he doesnt deserve you","I never met anyone like you " etc etc.
Men are shallow, however maybe just maybe you will find one who is not, however time and deeds tell you more about the person than any hollow words.
If they are genuine they will go out of their way to prove it to you,not stop calling because you didn't sleep with him !

Some aren't. There are those who have a clumsy way of letting it be known. If they only want you for sex, then they need to be with someone who is willing without wasting the the time of those who will not.

Honestly, i think it starts out that way. I dont know to many guys who are as blunt as that guy was but most guys start out thinking about sex but slowly realize there is more than that kind of connection possible.
