World domination and empire building follow their own megalomaniac logic and are not dependent on historical legacy.
The USA needs Oil to stay alive and to function. Forget about a day without Mexicans, try imagining a day without oil. No transport, no water, no communications, no electricity, no computers. The control of the Oil supply is so important it colours every relationship internally and externally.
The cost of the war for oil is nothing compared to the cost of no oil.

Does America feel it should bomb and dominate the world because its legacy is genocide and slavery? it would seem that way wouldn't it? I certainly share your sentiments.
Shouldnt we start believing we are no better than anyone else given how we export weapons and armaments? I would think we would come to our senses and refocus on the truth, but there are so many Americans right now with their heads in the sand, God know if it will ever happen ~!@#$%^&(*)~@!#$%^&*()!

Slavery and world domination are not themes that are unique to the U.S. Open a history book and you will see many civilizations through out known history that have had slaves AND tried to conquer and assimilate and/or assassinate the "enemy". Just because it has always been though, does not make it right. It is deplorable that after thousands of years we as a race (the human race) have not figured out that this type of behavior just brings pain and heartache. The U.S. has done some pretty terrible things, but the U.S. has also done some truly amazing and wonderful things. If the U.S. was such a terrible country why are so many people trying to move here?

Naw. I want to completely disarm America. I want to be defenseless. Then the world can bomb and dominate us. We deserve that because we had genocide and slavery and we've never done anything to change those things. We are still completely ashamed of oursevles and so we deserve to get bombed into oblivion by Islam.

I respectfully disagree.
Since World War II, compare US sponsored toady government with Communist toady governments. You'll find that human rights problems like political disappearances, slaughter and genocide, rampant corruption, and low standards of living are generally better in those third-world nations with US influence.
In the post-war era, we have clearly supported nations that follow UN orders, against those who disregard the international community. And we have clearly supported nations and organizations that target militants and military bases over civilians and commercial areas.
Bomb and dominate the world? C'mon, you know what Americans want. They want a beer, a pizza, and to watch the next episode of Desperate Housewives.

If America felt we should 'bomb and dominate the world', the Middle East and China would be glass.

Let's not go there. Legacy is of the past, currently your people are terrorizing the world and American will support anyone who will stop them. Also your country has done and is continuing to do terrible things to it's own citizens not to mention Israel.

America believes it "ought to bomb and dominate the world" as you say so freely, so people like you can still have the freedom to make such stupid and ignorant and biased and immature comments while the rest of us have to endure them. God Bless you.
