5% of America is homosexual. Over 15 million tax-payers that have been stripped of their basic human rights. I think they should get a tax cut since they don't get to enjoy their American freedom. Blessed be.

Kinsey's estimate, based on a non-random (self-selecting group) was 10%. Other surveys have shown anything between 2 and 9%. The latest US census shows around 5% of households declaring they are same sex.
There is no definitive research available, becuase no large scale representative population has been interviewed to determine the distribution. Taking such a survey is complicated by the fact that there is shame and denial attached to being gay in different cultures. The answers are more likely to be truthful in one-on-one surveys in European countries than in the US, where gay men are still largely vilified. In arab countries, it would be very risky to admit your orientation.
That said it seems that the actual answer is most likley somewhere between 5 and 10%.
Regardless of the figure, the arguments concerning equal rights remain the same; our society protects minorities from discrimination.

I have heard that 10% of the American population is homosexual, but I think homosexuality is just a matter of degrees - everyone is attracted to the same sex to some extent.

I think it is a lot higher than anyone estimates, people cannot even admit to themselves what their true sexuality is in this warped anti-gay religious society, they will hardly be likely to tell the truth to a pollster if they cannot admit the truth safely even to themselves.
What's God got to do with it? nothing at all as there is no god I'm pleased to say.
There will always be more homosexuals than gods as gods =zero.

i think it depends on what area you are in and where you are from. FOR EXAMPLE
SAN FRANCISCO. = 100%
NYC=99.9%
etc.....
in texas i was told that it's illegal for the same sex to live in the same household if not related unless it has to do with going to school. so Texas it would be like 5%
