yeah...but it would be really hard to defend murderers and rapists when you know they're guilty. I think it would be better to be an attorney that deals with things like car accidents and claims against the state.

Jesus also defended an adulterous woman which was worse than murder back in his day.
Even though I think it's a crying shame they make so much money, I don't think it's impossible to be a Christian and a lawyer at the same time.
Just be a good person and you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, it is possible and there are many Christian practicing attorneys.
Keep in mind that there are many specialties in law that one might go into, such as real estate law, human rights law, business law, family law, etc.
Defending accused criminals is known as "defense" law. This area of law might be difficult for some Chrisitans, but on the other hand, it is important that we have defense lawyers because many innocent people do get accused and sent to prison. We have even executed innocent people. So, while there are many guilty people who do deserve to be punished it is important that we have defense lawyers to make sure that it is in fact the guilty who are punished and not those falsely accused.

"Be honest and just when you make decisions in legal cases; do not show favoritism to the poor or fear the rich. Do not spread lies about anyone, and when someone is on trial for his life, speak out if your testimony can help him." (Leviticus 19:15)
The legal profession started in the Bible. Why do you think there's a Book of Judges?
The passage above says to speak out if your testimony can help a defendant, it does not say only speak out if the defendant is innocent.
There are many ways to practice law other than as a criminal defense attorney. However, there is nothing unchristian about defending criminals.
Are the people who minister to prisoners and death-row inmates not Christian?
If you defend those who have no one to defend them, is that not Christian?
If you unconditionally offer your help to people without judging them for their sins, is that not Christian?
If you protect the right of everyone to receive a fair trial, is that not Christian?
Remember, Christ himself was crucified on a hill along with common criminals. Did he not deserve someone to defend him?
Or like Richard Gere says in Chicago, "I don't mean to toot my own horn, but if Jesus Christ lived in Chicago today, and he had five thousand dollars, let's just say things would have turned out differently."

If you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins God has taken it away. God promised you that you will be with him for an eternity. If you accepted him you are SAVED!
If you think that being a lawyer is against God's will then don't do it. But you don't have to defend those who did wrong. You can expose what they really did. Anyways, I don't know about being a lawyer. I am only 14 years old, so just pray to God that he will lead you to where he needs you!

A defense lawyer can pick and choose their clients (as long as they don't mind turning away a source of income). Yes, it is possible and many lawyers have been and are Christians.

Of course it is possible. To be a Christian you must believe that Christ is your savior: that he died for your sins and that he is God (part of the trinity) You must confess your sins and ask for forgiveness.. Just ask and you shall receive. There are a lot of Christian lawyers.
