I dont know about the peming part, but normally if your hair grows out than your perm grows out too.

Regarding your curly, and dry, damaged hair:
Take olive oil, or baby oil, and lather it into your hair, then let it sit for about 30- min. After that wash it all out thoroughly, with shampoo and cond. (herbal ess. or pantene). Also make sure you trim it every little while, because i have curly hair and i notice that it gets crazy if i start getting split ends, also make sure you dont brush it when its dry, or very harshly. Try brushing it only while taking a shower, its really easy then. Last, always keep it moisturized with moisturizing and repairing creams. Try only shampooing every week only. Just keep the conditioner daily or every 2 days. Thats all I can say. hope it helps!

I have the same problem and my hair stylist told me to use any kind of hair product that was thermal. Such as thermasilk because it protects your hair against the heat so it will not dry out. She also suggested that I buy some of this oil stuff you put on the ends of your hair that has vitamins in it (bc i straighten my hair) so it will help against split ends.

It's o.k. to perm your hair but you have to make sure it is conditioned well. Use hot oil treatments and cholesterol and it will help from breakage and falling out. Make sure your conditioning once a week and deep condition once a month.
